Brikwars:
I've been wanting to run this for a while now and picked up some awesome minifigs to put together an army. I've had some people express interest in this, so hopefully we can get a real game going sometime soon!
The rules are free and a good read, so go check'em out!
Lego games! Brikwars, Mechaton, etc.

Good man for starting this thread.
Which version are you keen to try? I've heard there are quite a few knocking around. If you have any links handy feel free to throw them up

I'll have to check out Brikwars.
Personally I've played a bunch of Mechaton, which is wonderfully simple but tactically quite deep. Plus you get to build little lego mechs from scratch instead of relying on minifigs!
Let's see... Ah! Here's my Brickshelf gallery, with some pictures and CADs of some of the little dudes I've put together, to give you an idea of the mech scale the game defaults to.

Here's the download page:
http://www.brikwars.com/supplements.htm
The 2005 edition has the basics. There are other rules from the 2001 version that are compatible, but apparently they left them out for simplicity's sake. There's all kinds of options in the 2001 stuff, like super powers and stuff.
Mechaton looks really awesome. I don't have a huge collection of legos right now is my concern, and because I went and bought these Kamen Rider minifigs, I want to use them! haha That being said, I'd like to give Mechaton a shot, too.
Dave: Those Mechaton pics look freaking awesome. I wonder if I can cannibalize the Kamen Rider parts to make even awesomer robots...

I am loving those! How many do you need to play a game? Do they need to be built to certain specs or can you just go crazy?

The rules are abstract enough that you could use minifigs, even against another guy's mechs.ennui wrote:Mechaton looks really awesome.
