NagoyaHammer 2014 - Schedule

Post by Primarch » Tue Oct 01, 2013 5:14 am

This year we are not having an official tournament. Last year there were several issues that came up such as one team dropping out midway through and the prize support being thrown together at the last minute and essentially worthless a couple of weeks later. Plus, we have had a tournament now for the past 3 years in a row and it's time for a change.

Day 1 is for free play. As with last year, folks are free to organise their own games of 40K as they see fit. There will also be space for people who want to prepare and run other mini events. (Please PM me if you want to do something). In addition to 40K I hope to run a mini Bolt Action event

Friday May 2nd

09.00 - Doors open
09.00 - 21.00 - Free play 40K, Bolt Action and much more besides.
21.30 - Doors close

Day 2 of the event will see players split into four different Task Forces for a 40K mini campaign to take control of a sector of space. Players are (as ever) encouraged to bring interesting, varied lists rather than just spamming whatever unit seems the most powerful from the current codex. Games will be played at a variety of points levels, with Task Forces vying to control the most tables at the end of the day.

Saturday May 3rd - Warhammer Task Force Campaign.

09.30 - 10.00 - Doors open and players get themselves ready for games
10.00 - 12.30 - Game 1 - last turn warning at 12.15
12.30 - 13.30 - Lunchtime
13.30 - 16.30 - Game 2 - last turn warning at 16.15
16.30 - 17.00 - Breaktime
17.00 - 20.45 - Game 3 - last turn warning at 20.30
21.30 - Doors close, Izakaya time begins.

{Edit} - To accomodate players who have to work on the Friday, the schedule has been shifted so that the main event is now on the 2nd day. Drinking at an izakaya will also be on the 2nd day as I would like to spend at least one NagoyaHammer without a hangover. :D (Though some beers on the friday night can also be arranged I would guess).

I, too, love the idea and look forward to the Eldar reclaiming their sectors of space. :D

I like the concept. Heretics, Xenos and Witches shall burn! Ave Imperator!
So many games, so little time....
