Google bolt action rules pdf and it should be at the top. Basics only but a good start.

As another BA n00b, I wouldn't mind giving it a bit of a go as I haven't specifically arranged anything for the Friday and will be there all day.

Any chance of borrowing some stuff or joining in with someone?

If you can't get a game of 40K, I will see what I can do.

Yellowstreak I can give you a game of 40k from midday onwards if you like? Otherwise I was hoping to join in with the BA Baracas also. :D Thanks for the links guys. If I can work out which games I'm playing that gives me a week to go over the rules for either.

Looks like I have 40K in the arvo, but would still be interested in joining in some BA in the morning if it's do-able.

Have been toying with 2 lists for Home Guard, since FSJ didn't arrive in time.
Bicycles are not in the Britain book, no. I would like to use the bicycle rules from the Germany book for a section of men, it's a 1 point upgrade - just because I have models of old men on bikes. All right with you lot? Thought so.

The 1st list looks like the more balanced list, with a bit more punch. Not that much AT but this is an early war list.

List 1 - BA Home Guard 750 pts. All inexperienced unless stated.
Asterisked units are necessary for Dad's Army theatre list.

*2nd Lt (Mainwaring)
*Regular Inf Section, 9 men, rifles
*Home Guard Infantry, 9 men, 2 SMG, 7 rifles, Green, bicycles
Home Guard Infantry, 9 men, 2 SMG, 7 rifles, Green
Veteran Commando Section, 8 men, 8 SMG
Regular Forward observer, 1 extra man
MMG team
Medium mortar
Anti tank team, Boys Rifle
Regular Sniper team
Transport: Carden Lloyd carrier
Armadillo armoured car, 2nd rear lmg
WWI Mk IV tank (counts as 6 ton Light tank mk 6b)
2 pdr anti tank
Regular Quad tractor

15 order dice

List 2-
2 platoon list. I tried to play to my strengths (cheap but poor quality units), so here is a list featuring 2 platoons, split into approx 375 pts each. All units inexperienced unless stated otherwise.

Walmington-on-Sea Platoon

*2nd Lt, 35 pts (Mainwaring)
*Inexperienced Inf Section, 10 men, rifles
*Home Guard Infantry, 10 men, 2 SMG, 8 rifles, Green
Regular Forward observer, 1 extra man
MMG team
Medium mortar
Transport: Carden Lloyd carrier, inex,
Armadillo armoured car, 2nd rear lmg,
WWI Mk IV tank (counts as 6 ton Light tank mk 6b)

Eastgate Platoon
*2nd Lt (Major Square)
*Inexperienced Inf Section, 10 men, rifles
*Home Guard Infantry, 10 men, 2 SMG, 8 rifles, Green, Bicycles
Medium mortar
2 pdr anti tank
Regular Quad tractor
Armored car, morris cs9

16 order dice
