Just a few of my opinions or thoughts:
• I still would like some event or tournament for 40k at Nagoyahammer. We play pick up games year round and this is the biggie that everyone marks on their calendar. Tournament, campaign event or Apocalypse game; Something like this is exciting, fun and memorable.
• I can bring terrain and battle mat for one table.

So one day will definitely be 40K. It's still the biggest fish in the pond, despite GW's best efforts. :D Tournament or some other format will be decided later.
Not sure if some missed this amongst the text.

The pick up games and pre-arranged demonstration games suggested is for the second day.

#Shameless bump to get this thread at the top of the pile again#

The deadline for me trying to book a venue for NH2015 is steadily drawing nearer and I'd like to have some idea of what I'm doing if I go ahead and book it. I can only presume from the lack of comments in this thread that people just don't care what we do, but in case you need a recap of my rather long post on the second page:
1 Day of Organised 40K, be it a tournament or some other event.
1 Day of free play 40K and demo/scenario participation games of whatever people want to organise.

For more details, please have a look at the second page.

1 day 40k tourney or similar mass-group organised play thinger
1 day demo games sounds good. I like the idea of 2-person teams bringing a game each, and having one member coach 1 newcomer while the other goes off to be a newcomer for someone else's game, then switch for game 2, etc.

The truth is 40K is dying (slowly). I haven't bought 7th version rule set yet. Had a blast playing Boltaction, Also 40K, depending on the attendance next year, maybe have a split tournament? 40k and another popular game system? X-wing or something else and keep one day for different systems.

That would be a shame since I just got into the game. :(

Just speaking for myself, I don't have much interest in other tabletop games besides 40k, so my vote would go for two days of 40k. I do understand that others are interested in a variety of other games, which is cool, but I'll voice the lone dissent.

I haven't chimed in recently, to be honest I am not 100% sure we won't be on holiday. But if at all possible I'll be there for both days. A day of 40k and a day of other games sounds great. I am also happy to demo something (Judge Dredd, Saga, Muskets and Tomohawks, etc)

@Dekana - The idea is 1 day of only 40K and 1 day of anything people want to arrange including 40K.

@JR - I think 1 day of only 40K isn't going to change.

@All - Please keep the comments, ideas and general rambling on coming guys. This is your chance to have your say on the whole NH layout. What do you want? Like? Dislike?

I would like to see a painting contest. Nothing to fancy, just judging by secret ballot. Prize for best Space Dwarf themed conversion. It's nice to get everyone's prettiest toys all gathered together in one place for a look-see.

I have no issue with one day 40K of course, on the other day, i would like to see people take more other stuff, i would like to try other systems, for example i could take my Dust tactic (and Dust warfare rules) starter box for other people to try out. Working on Infinity now and by next year i probably have 2 factions.

How will next year 40K tournament be? unbound or not? restrictions on vehicles or flyers? Etcetera.
