Re: Dave's Demo: Dropzone D... Commander
I'm keen, but as I will also be (hopefully) demoing infinity I will have to work my schedule around that.
*edit* given that I'd prefer to get home before too late on sunday, I'd prefer to run my demo games in the first two time slots, too. Could be tricksy...

Well, I'm planning on shooting for a game size that makes for a pretty quick game - an hour or ninety minutes tops - to keep things from bogging down too much and to keep people like you's (youse?) options open, so something may well be workable.

I've heard a lot about this game so I am also keen to try it out. Can't wait.

Re: Dave's Demo: Dropzone D... Commander
Just going to bump this thread and see if anyone's interested! We've been having a lot of fun playing recently, and I have a couple of painted armies and some nice-looking terrain to fight over.
We're going to be doing a pretty straightforward mission that will hopefully showcase both the most interesting bits of the system (mobility and redeployment, as well as simplicity of resolution) and the differences between the forces involved (slow and long-ranged versus fast and short-ranged in this case). It's going to be the cybernetic post-humans versus the alien brain parasites in a no-holds-barred grudge match!
Cybernetic post-humans:
The forces of the PHR are quite slow, but their long-ranged weaponry packs a serious punch and they can soak up a lot of punishment for their points. They're elite, though, and will tend to be outnumbered as well as outmaneuvered.
Alien brain parasites:
The Scourge are fast and skimmy, but have seriously limited range on their main weapons - but when they get into range, they will make sure the rest of your day is a bad one.

I will be bringing my Ruinscape tiles and Shaltari army in the morning. Hopefully there will be a chance for me to get a game in too.

I like the look of this game a lot. Very well done on the layout and minis. Sci-Fi.
