After months of promising, here are the updated Core Rules for Hunters of Ruin.

Enjoy

I've spell checked it and given it a once over, but at this point my brain (what little I have) is kind of frazzled, so I'd very much appreciate any feedback, comments or notification of errors from everyone. Thanks :D

I'm just having a wee looky now, but I've noticed a mistake on the first page already because I am That Guy when it comes to grammar/spelling etc. Any chance I could get a Word version of the rules so's I can proof read them properly and send them back to you?

I've just had a read. All clear and concise, very good work. It reminds me of lots of my favourite systems rolled into one with some interesting new features. Good to see the use of the dodge roll and target reactions.
I'm looking forward to playing.

@Ashmie - Thanks.

There are still a couple of things I need to add, the rules for Cover need fleshing out a bit and a couple of the comments in previous threads need addressing, (ladders and thrown weapons if I recall correctly).

Most of the changes were minor or simplified things a bit. Of the top of my head:
Counter Attacks can now be Counter Counter Attacked.
Magical spells now fall into 5 distinct categories, each with limits on targetting and benefits for degrees of success.
Degrees of success on shooting attacks can now be applied to either accuracy (a penalty on dodge checks) or power (a penalty on resist checks).
The morale rules changed again, I think this should be the final version for them, but playtesting may change that.
Actions are more clearly defined.
Warbands with fewer warriors have a 'pass' option when activating.
Non-optional traits and types to show a wider variation in warriors.
Rules for mounted warriors.
Limits on equipment by warrior type, changes to warrior limits.

Warbands will be getting updated Faction Rosters with the following changes:
Cheaper characters.
Some specialists and characters will have the option to increase their Body stat at a cost.
A new specialist type for each faction.
Some characters will have a Mount option.
Spells, skills and faction rules tidied up.
Each faction will get a unique set of optional upgrades which can be applied in limited numbers.
Traits and types applied to warriors (e.g. undead, stupid, big etc).
Less limits on armour and equipment. Full plate wearing, great weapon wielding spell casters are there if you want them.
