silly question, maybe, but I cant find the rules for fortifications in the rulebook, specifically points costs for aquila defence lines and their associated icarus guns and whatnot. Where have they gone?

They are all in a separate book of fortifications.me_in_japan wrote:silly question, maybe, but I cant find the rules for fortifications in the rulebook, specifically points costs for aquila defence lines and their associated icarus guns and whatnot. Where have they gone?

Ah, yes. God forbid they ever put the actual rules for fortifications in the Fortifications section of the rulebook. Nah, stick em in a separate book and charge for em. Coming soon...
8th ed 40k: Battletome: Close Assault. This optional* rulebook allows players to add an extra phase to the Warhammer 40k game, where their models can engage in the thrill of close quarters combat. Detailing dozens of close combat weapons and their rules, this book is indispensible for any dedicated hobbyist!
*not really.

They were in the 6th Ed book.me_in_japan wrote:Ah, yes. God forbid they ever put the actual rules for fortifications in the Fortifications section of the rulebook. Nah, stick em in a separate book and charge for em. Coming soon...

If anyone has a copy of the Fortufication rule book, could you cross reference the two and say if there are any changes in the rules or points? If not, I guess the 6th Ed book would suffice right?

Re: NH2016 - WH40K - Mission 2: Hold Out
I just looked. The rules for Aegis defence lines are not in that book, nor are the rules for quad guns and icarus lasers. Mysterious...
*edit* AGAIN - Stop yer grinnin and drop yer linen. Found em!
Sorry - the rules for defence lines/guns etc are in the Stronghold Assault after all, theyre just not listed in the ebook index for some reason. A few minutes trawling through the book brings em to light, though. Aegis line, 50pts, 4 x long bits, 4 x short bits, can buy gun upgrades and/or debris upgrades (razor wire etc.)

The rules for the aegis line are on page 30 of the Stronghold Assault book.
