Biannual post about interest in Infinity
Infinity looks like it has a cool aesthetic and nice skirmish sized games that people in Nagoyahammer generally like.
If I picked up a box, would anyone be interested in playing/showing me the ropes? I've read it's pretty complex, but I'm trying to expand my skirmish library.

There is a new, streamlined version available called Code One. Only a handful of factions/minis from the range can be used in it, but the rules are a bit simpler.
I have some Yu Jing minis that can be used for it, so if you'd like to try it, I'll give you a game. Please bear in mind that I will not be attending the monthly games days until the Covid numbers drop considerably.

Re: Biannual post about interest in Infinity
FWIW, I’ve only played a little Infinity, and that quite some time ago, but if I can give you one piece of advice it would be:
Play like you’re solid snake.
Seriously. I will never forget my first game of Infinity (against the good Primarch, in fact) where I managed to get most (maybe even all?) of my guys killed on turn 2. And that was my own turn 2, not Prim’s.
It was plenty fun, though, and we promptly played again (to only marginally greater success on my part) but it’s a game I wouldn’t mind revisiting. I have a handful of Pan-O stuff. And say what you like about the rules, but the minis are flat out lovely.

Just to add to that, yes, the minis are gorgeous. However, they can be very, very fiddly. Some of them have very small connection points to attach weapons and limbs to.me_in_japan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 23, 2020 11:59 pmAnd say what you like about the rules, but the minis are flat out lovely.

Sweet, I'm trying to figure out what faction I want to try, and then what I need to get to start playing.

You should check which factions are in the Code One rules, as those rules are easier.Grantholomeu wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2020 12:59 amSweet, I'm trying to figure out what faction I want to try, and then what I need to get to start playing.

I was thinking the same thing. Can one find the rules easily online?

Re: Biannual post about interest in Infinity
Thanks Prim!
Welp, looks like I'm going for Combined Army then, seeing as it's the only one in Codeone lul.
They do look super cool, but I like Aelph a lot too.
Guess it made deciding easy.

Re: Biannual post about interest in Infinity
I have watched the videos and read the online rules. It seems ok but the number of different factions is quite overwhelming.
