Re: GW Open Day News, holy crow!
And with one final push for good measure, they've announced Urban Conquest, a city-themed campaign pack, with a whole card-and-map-based system for doing a map campaign and rules for city fighting (maybe expanded on what they put in CA2018?). Considering our group's schedule and luck with campaigns, I'm not super hype about it, but still - it's an ambitious release in a quarter full of good stuff coming out.

Y'know... When you think about it, it's obvious - the next step after an Ambull can only be Zoats. Or possibly Enslavers. I'd take either.

So many nice figs....love the ambull, a great 'monster' mini that could be used for multiple games.
So many games, so little time....

Urban Conquest looks nifty and could be a nice addition to 40k like Cities if Deth was (best book for 40k ever if you ask me) but which of us can justify the price for something that will barely be used outside the scatter terrain. Dave already pointed it out, we tried a map campaign last Spring using Osaka as the map, and as usual real life, distances involved to play, and conflicting schedules scuttled it yet again.
With all the nice things coming out I wish I was back in college, but my current spending power

PD: Forgot to say that I want that new Manufacturum kit, for a GW Gothic kit the lack of skulls is refreshing.

Aye. Agreed. I didn't notice that until I had seen this much enlarged picture of it. I'm sure the Dark Eldar would like to have some of these for their gladiatorial pits.Primarch wrote:The Ambull is fantastic, I love the little bugs crawling under it's armoured skin.
I do like the that Chaos Space Marine Chaplain, but wow, that is a lot of skulls on him! I think I count 11????

I'll follow up on Kill Team Arena chat here. They did a bit of a preview:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... a-arrives/
And actually it sounds pretty tight - more or less "just" some rejiggering of objectives and scenarios (which, TBQH, I thought was a bit of a weakness of the core rules anyway) to allow you to tailor secondary objectives to your (and your opponent's) force. Which - and it should be no surprise I think this is a good thing - takes hints from Shadespire where you can similarly tailor your victory conditions to your force and playstyle. Plus a tunnel-fighting killzone, which is always good.
Unfortunately, Arena plus the Frontier Killzone plus the AdMech kill team with the new HQ unit, all of which I now want to some degree or another, will definitely be Too Expensive all together.

Surely not?The Other Dave wrote:... all of which I now want to some degree or another, will definitely be Too Expensive all together.
Well, unless some of them are limited edition, you don't need to buy them all at once. Or you can just sell off a kidney, you don't need two.

Are they all released simultaneously?
