Usually GW is very good in terms of customer service, so even if there is a problem they'll put it right for you.

If you're ordering through the GW Japan store it shouldn't take that long if it is in stock. I believe they have their own local warehouse.

I find the correlation between "I need to order this from GW" and "they send it from the UK" to be very high. So it generally takes at least a week from when they ship it.

For example: I ordered some Tyranids that were shipped from Nottingham on the 29th. I do not have them yet, though the tracking page tells me they're in Japan at least.

So having said that I of course received it today.

Timeline was:

Ordered 26th
Shipped 29th
Arrived 6th

So all wrapped up within two weeks, though it can be quite variable.

This time I got slugged a customs fee of 2300en on delivery. That's the first time for me, not sure if that's because I crossed a cost threshold (it was > 3万) or a size threshold (big box on that Tyrranocyte!). I don't think it's weight - pretty sure my index card order back in July was heavier than a bunch of plastic Nids.

When you order stuff from overseas, you'll get a (random, so far as I can tell) customs fee slapped on it, from time to time. I've been here for nearly 20 years and I still have zero idea how they decide to do it or not. Likewise the cost seems hella variable. Based on my own experiences, you're far more likely to be ok than get slapped, but it does happen from time to time (I think the last time I got walloped was when I imported my kilt, years and years ago. Something to do with the sporran being leather, I think? 🤷‍♂️)

eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...
