Prussian landwehr 1815

Post by ashdevon » Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:13 am

Here be Prussians.
I'm just one unit shy of completing my Landwehr army which began in 2012. Thanks to Job I could bolster the army by a couple of extra units.

Nice looking force.
I think Warlord are planning to release some Landwehr cavalry soon.

Great looking stuff! Your Prussian force is really looking impressive as it now looks like you have a full division of infantry! (Or I guess I should write Brigade as the Prussian army used the brigade for organization at a size other armies would call a division. ) I really wish we could have another Naps game.

Keep it up! By any chance, have you been able to join any Napoleonic clubs?

There are many clubs in the area but I'm always busy with work. I like to keep my hand in with the painting and besides why compete with the best wargames club in the Universe? NAGOYAHAMMER 4 LIFE.
It will never be that buzz again with other groups. :)

That's very kind of you to say, but you do give us too much credit.
Best wargames club in the Universe so far, would be better perhaps?

Guys. I finally finished them.
Quite pleased with my casualties unit up front and the unit behind them. Thanks for all your help and support with the extra models.

“Close the ranks!”

It looks like a couple of your battalions are getting a hard pounding, but they look to be good stoic lads! I think I see 7 or more battalions. A proud looking division. Maybe a Perry canon someday? Or possibly those landswhere cavalry? Well in the meantime they look quite ready to go toe to toe with the perfidious French. I hope the future brings an opportunity for General Laycock to revenge himself on (my) French!

Yeah. I’ve been following the Epic history series. I recommend the first half of the 1813 campaign up to Leipzig. Good stuff on the Prussians dishing out some of their own comeuppance on Napoleon’s frogs.
