New paint on very old models

Post by AndrewGPaul » Thu Apr 02, 2020 6:35 pm

I’ve not ventured over here in a while, but I’ve painted something that might be of interest to at least one member of this establishment...

I’ve had these minis lying around for ages, but with more time on my hands than usual recently, I managed to put brush to lead (or white metal).

and Death, life and plague elementals.

Me_in_Japan might recognise that plague elemental on tje end there. :)

    You must’ve had those minis since forever! Well done on finally getting some slap on ‘em. And yes, I have fond memories of that plague elemental being horrifically overpowered. And also of actually painting it. It’s a remarkably gribbly model, actually, and you’ve done it (and the others) proud. Job’s a good un.

Btw, totally off topic, but how’s lockdown treating you? Dressing in spiked leather and fighting cannibal zombies yet?

Not yet. No more so than usual, anyway. :D Mostly I’m just losing track of what day it is, and I’ve spoken to Alexa more than any real humans recently.

I don’t think I’m suited to working from home; I like the separation of going somewhere separate to do work.

What rules did we use for that plague elemental? I don’t recall any of those getting rules for Warhammer. Or did we convert from WFRP so every stat was 9?

I think I maybe rolled it up as some kind of daemon prince of nurgle? I honestly can’t recall. It may have been a whfrp thing *shrug*

Glad to hear containment isn’t too bad, so far, although I totally hear you on the separation of work and home thing. I like to be able to leave things behind when I’m done with them.

If it was something you rolled up, then no wonder it was overpowered. I remember your 1st edition Eldar Avatar...

Nice job on those old-school figures.
