Iron Maiden....Excellent!

Post by ashmie » Fri Mar 11, 2011 12:06 am

They arrived in Japan yesterday I heard. Now they have jetlag but they are playing this weekend or next in Saitama. I will try and get tickets either from a tout or online as I imagine they have probably sold out by now. I'll write more later when I know more. Any takers if there are tickets?

I've managed to get me and Keiko two tickets for Saturday night. They are on tonight and tomorrow I think.
Standing is sold out but seats are still available. It's an arena gig.
Tickets are available at Lawson! Rock n roll lol
So excited now. Anyone that wants to join they still have seats so hope to see you there.

Soldier blue in the barren wastes, hunting and killings the game etc

I dont know whats more impressive - the fact that youre willing to pay to go all the way to saitama to see maiden, or the fact that your GF is going with you. Both are astounding.

course, I daresay that both are rather dependant on the gig still being on, what with the current post-apocalyptic action going on up there just now.

I hope the maiden lads are ok...

well, a quick shufty at the maiden website delivers good news and bad news.

bad news: saturday show cancelled. My commiserations, Ash :(
good news: Ol' Brucey, flying Ed Force 1, was diverted from Narita to Nagoya airports. The boys are in town! huzzah!

ps huge respect for any band who own and can fly their own jumbo jet :D

Shit a brick.
I nearly did today. I was going to brave the situation anyway and make the journey so I'm kind of half relieved they cancelled. Wow they are in Nagoya now, that's cool.
Oh well maybe next year. Yeah I was happy Keiko was up for going.

Scream for me Saitama areannnnaaaaa! Oh they can't as it's being used for evacuation purposes this time. Doh.

A sell out crowd or captive audience, you be the judge.
They should make themselves useful entertaining the people stuck in those public shelters. It'd look good in the papers.

while we're on the subject, what do you chaps think of the new album?

I reckon its good, but lacks for that "epic" quality held by some of their other stuff. For some reason I really like Dance of Death, plus the older stuff, obviously.
