Hobby Shop Town Crier - Now open in Nagoya
Our very own G&G a.k.a. Ikeda-san has opened a small GW Hobby Store in Osu. It's just across the road from Joshin. If you are in need of an urgent plastic crack fix check him out.

Has he got gaming space there?
Re: Hobby Shop Town Crier - Now open in Nagoya
When I went, he barely had customer space, but he said that he was going to get a small gaming table set up for demo games. The shop is about 4 foot square, so dont expect to be getting any games in anytime soon.jus wrote:Has he got gaming space there?

Since it's not a bona fide GW store (as in, no red shirts), is there a way I could ask him to order some Infinity miniatures as a special order? I don't know this guy but I'm gonna head there on Sunday before rpg time. Does he speak english? Or understand it?

Whilst it isn't a bona fide GW store, that is what he sells for the main part. Ikeda san is being supplied directly by GW and I'm not sure if he has any contact with other distributors. Even if he did, there is usually a minimum size to trade orders, so unless you're happy to purchase about 30,000 yen worth of Infinity models in one go it might not be the best idea.Miggy Smallz wrote:Since it's not a bona fide GW store (as in, no red shirts), is there a way I could ask him to order some Infinity miniatures as a special order? I think Ikeda san can understand a English a little, but Japanese is your best bet. I've never heard him use any English himself.

I havent had an opportunity to visit Town Crier yet, I would like to ask you guys how his stock his.
Does he have a big stock of GW products so that I might be able to find what I am looking for at the first visit or is it just the latest hot stuff same as Yellow Submarine?
Actually how about if you compare the stock range to Yellow Submarine? Good, Bad, Same?

I only went to his store the day he opened and at that time he had next to nothing on the shelf. Your best bet is to go along and see for yourself (he is open saturday and sunday I think). Anything you want he can probably order for you and get within 1 week.Seb wrote:I havent had an opportunity to visit Town Crier yet, I would like to ask you guys how his stock his.
