UK Games Day 2011

Post by Primarch » Fri Sep 16, 2011 11:17 am

So, we're still a week away from the UK Games Day, but Forge World have put up some pictures of what they will have available for sale.
How about one of these for that old school feeling?

Why is it that GW can screw up their PR so badly with crap like sales embargoes and failcast, yet FW keep churning out crowd pleaser after crowd pleaser? First Chaos Dwarves, and now Proppa Old Skool Land Raiders? Epic Win, in my book.

Awesome! They just need to make some old-school-pattern rhinos, and the cycle will be complete.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Someone open the windows before we drown in my drool. Very very nice and nostalgic.

I wish I could say I am shocked to hear of such retarded pricing but, well, you know....

to be fair, thats in line with the cost of other resin things of the same size. Its a land raider - thats a big ol tank. I know the original landy was not in the same league for price, but it was made of a poor quality plastic. Just cos the model is a reboot doesnt mean itll be any cheaper than the rest of their current stuff.

Incidentally, Im liking the Tantalus. If it's not super heavy I might think about investing. Not for playing so much as being an army centrepiece. (playing it is appealing, tho)

I think it is a Super-Heavy, it is absolutely massive. Look at the crewman hanging off the wing for example.

I'd play against it regardless though.

Just because the pricing is in line with that of other models does not mean it is a fair price. I don't think there is a justifiable reason for charging that much.
