Lone wolf adventure books

Post by me_in_japan » Wed Mar 14, 2012 3:38 am

I dunno if anybody else played these back in the day, but personally I'm rather stoked to find these. Kudos to joe dever for giving it the thumbs up, too. If only I had an iPad to play em on...

Spevna enjoyed this walk down memory lane. Here's hoping for some Fighting Fantasy books.

@MIJ, Any good? http://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... ks&x=0&y=0

:lol: Spev what is going on with this 3rd person approach. Are you Craig David? Craig David the UK RandB singer used to do that.
I don't know if you would have been in Britain when this show was on (circa 2003/4) but this guy used to make rubber masks of all the celebrities and then give them unique accents. :) It were Proper Bo I tell thee.
He had a pet bird called Kes like the old Ken Loach film http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-XqgUdm_l4

@ Spevna, Are you after FF on an i pad? If so I believe Warlock and Citadel of Chaos, Craeture of Havoc have already been released: http://www.fightingfantasy.com/index.ph ... 8&Itemid=2

Got some photos of some FF novels. I collect them, love em. I'm after House of Horror. That was my favourite. Couldn't complete it though because of some coded page number you had to find.

Spevna approves of the aforementioned comedy stylings. Double helpings of approval for the FF link.

I remember playing Lone Wolf adventures, and Fighting Fantasy too! My favourites were Creature of Havoc and Citadel of Chaos...too bad I don't have an i-pad. I think my favourite solo adventure book was the Grailquest series, although I remember my friends not liking them so much

(http://www.abandonia.com/es/node/26162? ... GrailQuest) I doubt they will be out in electronic format anytime soon, though.

I must confess to being a bit concerned about the state of Spev. Clearly something so traumatic has happened that he has had to distance himself from himself to protect his fragile mind.... :?

The word "fragile" should not be used to describe Spevna unless it is following the word "not".

The Spevna is disgruntled by allegations of fragility, be they allegorical or not.

My apologies. I retract my former hypothesis. Perhaps the Spev has simply moved on to a more spiritual plane, wherein the affairs of us mere mortals are best referred to from the protective distance of the third person?
