Sounds like a worthy duel Admiral. You're on. Next NH good for a speed painting comp. Can we get a few more entrants to make it bigger? Or it could be just me and the Admiral in a Clint Eastwood style showdown.Winner buys there other mans lunch.

Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Ok we each will take a picture of some modles on the sprue or gray plastic one week before the event we then will paint our whole armies. By whatever means nessesary we will then show up and let the gamers cast their votes. For the best paint job. Any one is welcome to join in on this.ashmie wrote:Sounds like a worthy duel Admiral. Re: NagoyaHammer 2012 - Feedback
A speed painting contest should be more of a bring-along-a-new-mini and see who can get the most done in 1hour on the day kinda thing. Preferably a finished model, I might add. It's not fair if you do it at home, as you have an airbrush and Ash doesnt, for example. Also, a lot would come down to how much spare time you have in a day, too. If you have 5 hrs a day to paint and Ash only has 1, it's hardly a fair contest, is it?

Thanks for the compliment Ashashmie wrote:
@Koji, I'm assuming from your concern you didn't get any luck in the comp this time. Don't despair I've seen your models and they are very good and as I said beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Re: NagoyaHammer 2012 - Feedback
Absoloutley. Speed painting contest should be painting on the day with a row of 10 to 20 minis. Timed. Fastest wins. That's more fun for spectators to. Rather like a pie eating contest.
No worries Koji, I read you loud and clear.

No no. The fun in pie eating contests is just the same as NASCAR. It is to see the crashes and disasters. There's always the bucket on hand for the contestants.ashmie wrote:Absoloutley. So in that spirit I suggest war gamers need more intensity and action to be amused. I suggest fire, alcohol and water. I suggest every ten minute interval is followed by D6 shots of what is on hand (bourbon whiskey vodka acrylic paints). Then it is followed by ingesting the remaining water you used for your brush. I'm unsure how you loop in fire but I thInk it has to be present to satisfy the sophisticated modern mind.
Now I'll sit and watch that.
