oooh! oooh! grey undercoat please, sir!* Black plays merry hell with coverage of brighter colours. (and dont nobody start on me about blacklining or use of foundation colours...)

Maybe painters should get to choose the undercoat at least. I usually prefer a white undercoat. (Not that I'm participating in the speed painting, though.)
