Nice to see the forum as sunny as always i'll be interested to see what fluff piece they write up to justify why blood angels storm raven is now standard template construct.

GW may well be money grubbin gits, but if we are totally honest, so are you and I. Rather then be bitter about them, i think GW have done a dew things right. They have certainly upped the ante with their releases, with updates every month, which is previously unheard of. Not to mention the quality of miniature releases of late. Which, in my opinion, are great.

As to maintaining the IP that they guard with such jealous zeal, they do so with good reason. Its a frikken awesome IP.

I prefer the Storm Talon, but the Storm Raven still fits in nicely with the Imperial look. Are you painting that up for Nagoyahammer, Jus?

Storm raven look better without wings and used as a tank or transport. Guess they were going with a warthog look.

It is a grower. I'm tempted to get one and paint it Ultramarine. Must resist. Actually I have no expendable income these days so I can't. Sighs

Yeah, S'not so bad afterall. Part of the reason the shape is so perculiar is so clunky is because it was built into the balance design of the model. I learnt this assembling the thing. Remove any piece of it from either side and the thing will lose balance. If you ever put one together you will notice how clever the pieces fit together to make a heavy piece of kit balance on a stick.

I love it it looks freeking awesome.

I can't hate on GW they produce monthly miniatures and rules and fluff that keep the game fresh... This is more than I can say for other companies. As for the cost to the fans. For the price of taking my family out to dinner I can get most standard kits. It is not like I need to own one of everything they make.
