Post by skkipper » Sat Mar 02, 2013 2:21 pm

I am in Tokyo this weekend. Looked for the GW store couldn't find it. Is it still open any tips on how to find it
From GW site:

I pasted the address into yahoo.jp and got this. Does that help?

I was just there last week, if you walk down the main street (302) it'll be a pretty small place, but the walls are pretty packed with stuff. It was right in the area of all the used book stores west of Kanda station.

Here's a streetview pic of it!

Well that street view image was out of date. There is a white sign on the building and a restaraunt on the first floor.

I was close needed to walk down block a bit more. I got an updated map emailed to me from GW, who picked up on this post. Next time I am in Tokyo, I will be able to find it

MiJ: I've been telling you for years buddy. They know us!
Ever since that spat in Exeter when they refused to play me because I wasn't a noob and I wrote to Jervis saying about our group and how we supported the hobby and shunning from a store was undeserved. Ever since then they've been checking in. How were we thanked for our loyalty to the brand? Price hikes, shipping embargoes and Dreadfleet! An amalgamation of Pirate plans from here recycled and spat back out at us. :x :P 8-)
Either that or we have an outrider in our midst working under cover.
(I'm joking guys, but its always fun to imagine such things). ;) :D

I too have had failed attempts at looking for GW back in Shinjuku 5 years ago. It was there but they had ditched the GW products and were selling Magic cards. Hah!
Last I checked they had 4 stores in Tokyo but I think they cut back again right.

Oh and GW if you're watching? Shame about the new fantasy minis but nice going on the new 40k book and minis. It was a shame about The hobbit minis and what happened to the Lotr game? IP expired?
Come on Jervis chime in you know you have time on your hands. :)
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

How did GW get your email address? To get ANY access to member's contact info you have to be a registered member AND logged into the system. Everyone who logged in since the first post was made in this thread is, to my knowledge, NOT a GW employee.

I'm very curious to know how this happened? Skkipper, care to shed some light on this, who actually sent you the email/PM and what did they say?

Sorry no big brother. I looked over the message again and realized I sent them an email Saturday night from my phone.
