Thanks to the Underdweller for a nailbiter of a 40K game. I really didn't think I could pull it off once I saw all those big bugs. If you had had a really big,big bug, a Mawloc or something, it would have been a much different game. Awesome finish with Old One Eye and the Greensteala Boss smashing each other into gory shreds at the same time. Sorry, I could not get my head around the whole "focused fire" rule. I get it now and see why I have never bothered using it before. You'd have to be very careful and your opponent very careless for it to make a big difference.
Oh, we forgot our "Hammer of Wrath" attacks. I forgot my bikes get them and Monstrous creatures get them too!
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Thanks to Pikey and Koji for the games. I had fun, despite the best attempts of the Heldrake. :D

Thanks Prim. One day your band of 'all the time' veterans will get a right ol' fisti.. ;) but alas it was not today. Well played sir and some very poor Hivemanship from me. I like the Trygon and with regen on him it might even be better. The Mawloc would have been good if he had not still been recovering from ramming his head on Komura San's Chimera the other day. Alas his underground navigation sent everywhere except where he was supposed to go  The Tyranids lack of grenades or something equivalent is also a bit annoying...hopefully the hivemind will create something that vomits up explosive spit balls. ;)

Anyway mate thanks. Always fun and always learn heaps.

Thanks to Underdweller too, for our tyranid field trip/gladiatorial battle where we discovered that while using purely averages to test theory is not al all fun lol

Thanks, it was a fun game, shooty hordes against shooty hordes!

Don't worry about the Focused fire, 6th edition has a lot of fussy rules and I think everyone makes mistakes, especially since we have not been playing it so often recently. Re: Hammer of Wrath - d'oh! Oh well, not such a bad rule to forget, probably wouldn't have made a huge difference - like Night Fighting, which I also generally forget.

Anyway, the battle between Old One Eye and your Boss was classic, and a great way to end the game! Made me glad I brought him (only once, though, I think!)

@Kojibear - thanks for the Hive Convention and brainstorming workshop. Not sure we accomplished much yet, but I'm sure after we sleep on it a bit our brains will come up with a few clever ideas for our lists!

Play them as counts as Eldar! Hive Tyrant=Avatar, BIg, Big bugs =Wraithknight :D How about Counts as Chaos? All these Dino-bots the Eeeevil Mayreens are fielding these days, could work. Not to mention Daemons.

Yeah, you actually could have the right idea - then we would get the enjoyment of playing with the cool models combined with the enjoyment of playing with a good codex. Our two weapons are fear and surprise!
