Over the weekend, I spent a lot of time on the Overlord terrain. I didn't get as much done as I had hoped to, but a lot of progress was made. Still sooo much to do and the deadline is drawing ever nearer. :?

Painted some tiny red jackets last night while obsessively checking order statuses. (Antisocial Germans: In the Mail. Tiny Spaceships: Who knows?)

And yeah, a complete, clean cut with exes on all social media is a pro tip.

Been lazy, have done some painting on my Relic busts, inquisitor band and prodos figures but nothing really to show for it,

Bought a forgefiend from Mij and spent most of the weekend magnetizing it, i am thinking on how to connect the body to the base because
it seems the different versions poses are not the same. i am left over with 2 small flamer arms not sure how to use them.

Thanks Prim,

I appreciate it. Things have got pretty serious so I didn't know where to post tbh. Kept it off facebook for a change. Hopefully I can get some help soon. I'm going to focus on minis, comics and hobby stuff for the time being to stay above it all.

@jr - nice to see it's being taken care of :) The flamer things, btw I think are melta-cutters or something like that. I thiiiink they go on the end of the tentacles? Not 100% sure, though.

There doesn't seem to be as many WIP posts on this thread as there used to be, so with that in mind, here's what I did today:

and here is what I did a few days ago: Quite pleased with the illusion of depth in this. Yay resin :D

That is a very nice looking base. Well done!

There is, as you say, a lack of WIP pictures being posted these days. I currently have a load of stuff on my workbench, but the time I spend snapping photos and uploading them is time away from actually painting. :D
I will try and grab a shot or two tonight.

@ Ashmie: Take care of yourself. You are much too good of company to too many people to be going anywhere. Life is sometimes raw, but you are not the only one with darker moments. Do speak/type out your concerns with us anytime. As The Eagles sing, take it easy.

Thanks Job and everyone for your support and comment. Another 5 cultists assembled for Frostgrave today. That's 15 now.

bravo Prim on those terrain pieces/board. Keep at it - there's nowt more rewarding than a self built fully contoured game board. Well, there probably is, but still, it's pretty darn rewarding. Fighto!

This evening's doings:

Some indeterminate goldy lookin' colour was applied. Not sure how I'll do this for the rest of the mini (the non airbrushy bits), but it looks ok on the big legwarmers he's wearing.
Image

and also put some kinda wibbly wobbly aquatic-ish colours on the carapace (and all over him, actually.) I was comparing him to the base and he just were'nt green enough, and I got a bit carried away. Anyway, I can work wi this.
Image

That's the airbrushing phase done for now (which is a good thing. Got a thumping headache this evening from overexposure to a/b thinner/cleaner. An extractor fan is a good thing, but it only goes so far.) Tomorrow begins the loooong slooow process of goldifying all his worky bits. And those rivets on his carapace. I am in no way looking forward to those rivets

edit: note to self: goldy looking colour is composed of: base coat VMA mahogany, followed by mix VMA mahog + angel blue. goldiness is mahog + gold, then straight gold. Do highlights first.
