Well, that was surprisingly painless.

Image

Thought I'd share some dunkelgelb before I inevitably bodge it up with inelegantly applied camouflage and weathering. (And, yes, I'll be falling back on the excuse that camouflage was often applied inelegantly in the field by the tank crews themselves, but still.)

Also hooray for the bit of static grass that got painted into the turret there, and I didn't notice till looking at the picture. Stuff gets *everywhere*.

Edit to add: Well, huh.

Image

Easy peasy!

The final bits of my Fallschirmjager platoon (there's a fourth squad as a support element waiting in the wings) and some prototype bocage. Entirely too manicured-looking, but they're basically a quick and dirty proof of concept at this point.

Backed a Kickstarter making card sci-fi terrain, which can be used for futuristic interiors (thinking Dredd- guts of a space craft, the insides of a block, many possibilities ). Spy based games, or 40k utility perhaps too, but probably more useful for a skirmishy kinda thing. I had considered mdf for a futuristic table, but value wise this wins out for me. Astonishing amount for the price, but I have to wait until August 2017.
Checked out reviews of their previous offering online, only glowing reports thus far.
Who makes it, you ask? Battle Systems.

I am quite taken with their dungeon stuff as well.

It's the only other ship I've got of a roughly similar scale.

That looks amazing!
It's perfect for a project I have planned!
It ships in August next year?
Well, fiddlesticks! Back to the drawing board.

I recently got a load of their stuff from their last KS (urban apocalypse) and am pretty pleased with it.
So many games, so little time....

On the other hand, that's some sexy-looking brass you've got going there. Nice work!

I worked on some hedges last night.
