Looking awesome MiJ!!me_in_japan wrote:Finished my first harley biker. 1 down, 5 to go (plus, y'know, the rest of the footsloggers. And a gunboat. Eh. I'll finish them someday...No rush. One of the cleverer things about the new Ynnari list is that it allows eldar players to paint up one or two units from other factions and use them straight away, without the need to paint a whole "new army". As one paints, say, Harleys, they get added to Ynnari list, and once you have enough for a standalone Harley army, off you go. Sure, it's hardly subtle sales technique, but for those of us who already have a buttload of various eldar, it's good motivation to paint one or two of the more challenging units.)
btw, at this (admittedly early) stage, I'm not hating diamonds. Yet. As long as I can keep myself from attempting a whole mini in motley, I reckon I'll make it through. *fingers crossed*

Long awaited Warpath Ks finally made its way to my grubby hands. I currently have 3 squads plus assorted specialists from the Operation Heracles set built half painted but I find myself wondering what I should do with the last enforcer squad. Built it as assault enforcers, regular or heavy support?
Pity it couldn't make it on time for Naghammer to try the rules.

Cheers, Kbear.
Incidentally, should anyone be on the fence re the rather snazzy Infinity special deal just now, what you get in the deal is more than enough for a playable force, with options.

Today I finished off a bunch of Saxons, so here they are:

Earlier in the month I did some ruined buildings for NagoyaHammer:

Re: What did you do today.
Today I assembled two trays of vikings, and got a very quick start painting two more - just the skin, of which there is very little exposed.
I also realized just now that I have absolutely no storage or transport options lined up for 80-odd hairy vikings.

@ToD - A longboat perhaps?
Today I finished off a couple of Tamiya kits I had laying around half-built, a German Tank-hunter and a British Bren Carrier conversion, not the neatest job ever, but it should look pretty cool when it is painted.

I've been asked to run the plastic model club by some students at the high school where I work. Nice to be wanted, isn't it? We've got 8 members already. Their interests seem to be limited to Gundam, but maybe I can 'turn them to the Darkside'. I wonder if I can get them to paint my stuff..?
Re: What did you do today.
Oh how fun. I sometimes hang out in the art club and paint my toys. They think it's cool, but no one is particularly interested in trying it themselves. If I was painting Super Dungeon Explore, maybe. If it does not have big eyes or is "kawaii" it is pretty much invisible to their sense of aesthetics I think.Simon W wrote:I've been asked to run the plastic model club by some students at the high school where I work. Did some more work on the next batch of hairy vikings last night. When these two trays are done, I'll have about 50 dudes, including a nice mix of heavy, medium and light infantry, which should set me up to try out some Saga just in time for my "summer bonus finish up my ASC collection" orders to begin to arrive over the next week or so.
