@Ashmie- "Take your stinking paw off me you damned dirty ape." I once saw Planet of the Apes in the theater (classic old theater, chandeliers, pipe organ, arabesques) as a summer Sunday matinee. When Hest did that line, we just went ...ape...cheering. Yeah! That 7TV game looks fun. It would be great to do like a battle in a Bond Villain lair or do crazy mash ups like the A-team vs classic Battlestar Galactica Cylons! So much skirmish, so little time......

Today went to Osaka and go a set of the new industrial bases from GW. Quite a good box if we discount the fact that train, lunch with friends, bases and drinks almost doubled the price. Now my Charadon Overlords can enter whatever skirmish game I want in adeptus mechanicus style.

Started in on the big pile of plastic I came into possession of on Sunday, assembling a dozen or so, priming half and getting started on the black of half of those. Like I mentioned to mij on the day, I'm sort of at a point with my marines where there are a couple of stages that stall me out before I start them since they're relatively fiddly, but I'm working in small enough batches that once I start it's not particularly onerous. Hopefully I can get through these 20-odd guys without hitting a wall. (The fact that I really dig the primaris marines helps - I've got an old-style marine on the bench along with them, and he just looks like a weird hunchbacked trog next to them.)

@ToD - Don't worry, the older marines will be phased out soon no doubt.

This evening I assembled some Saxons and painted the rifles of some colonial british troops.

I finally finished my UCM frigates! My UCM Dropfleet list is ready to go.

Now I just have my new batch of Shaltari frigates and some bits and bobs from various games that I never really finished painting.
