I found myself having issues while gluing my building's windows (stupid PET) so while I solve them I decided to finish some Kharadron Overlords I had around.

They are ready for Shadow War/Deadzone now.

were these... li'l miniature windows, or, like, your apartment block? I'm kind of scared to ask at this point... :?

As for me, yay! I done painted somefin. Just a quick bishbashbosh paint job - nice mini, and tbh deserved more time and effort than I was able to put in, but hey ho better than bare metal, eh.

Image

An int'restin' thing about this mini: twas painted using only white, black, dark blue and mahogany paint, with a bit of silver added to the mixes to do the weapons. The pink on the eyes is the only exception to this, which is why they stand out so much. *edit* ok actually they dont stand out in this picture but they do in real life. Honest injun 8-)

@MIJ- eeyuuuk. Painting with a limited palette can be fun. I did up my unit of Kommandos all black with the only color the red-orange source lighting from their lamps and purple-white burna flames. Jen Haley often uses a restricted palette I've noticed.
And I am about half-way done putting those Rat Ogre legs back together and re-sculpted. A bit better, but still sort of off. Next time I sculpt a digitigrade (okay, okay, I looked up "digitigrade" ) animal maybe I'll get it right.
Doing a bit of painting. I think I am going to like Vallejo Smoke.

Nice work there on the worm-demon MiJ! Did you set out to paint with an intentionally limited palette or did it just end up that way? I've never tried doing it on purpose.

Well howdy ya'll, I'm relocated to Plano, Texas - although in a hotel for the next few weeks and then it'll be the end of May before my stuff from Japan arrives...

There is a GW about 10 mins walk from my hotel and a FLGS a short-ish drive away (Texas Toy Soldier), which has an active 40K and Bolt Action community apparently.

I watched 'Gettysburg' on the plane ride over, and am somewhat enthused about reading more about the ACW (I did read alot about it when i was young) and who knows, maybe painting some ACW minis to go with my Dead Man's Hand cowboys or perhaps something skirmish scale ACW (must not let it turn into full sized black powder armies...must fight urge...)
So many games, so little time....

@Miguelsan - Nice Dwarves, but you need more balloons.
@M_i_J - Nice (er...) worm beast thingie. I spend half of my life online looking at models and I still have no idea where most of your collection comes from. Do you have a direct line to Hell's own miniature shop? Do you have to open a puzzle box to receive your delivery? :?

Yesterday I spent several hours highlighting robes and uniforms. If I can grab an hour or two today I hope to do some work on some walls. Yeah, my painting life is far more mundane than other's in this thread.

I went into town today and discovered that Joshin has yet again beefed up their GW stock - all the Necromunda stuff out currently, lots of Shadespire (these last two in Japanese, but it'll give me a place to wander in and pick up some Van Saars when they're released), a very solid selection of 40K, and what looks like a good lot of AoS. Definitely worth dropping in if you're a Nagoya person.

I came home with a box of Tempestus Scions for slightly-more-wisysig Acolytes for my Inquisitor.

I received some 60mm bases in the mail today (for use with my heavy weapon teams), submerged my blue/green tanks in a vat of Simple Green, and tried out airbrushing for the first time with one of my basilisks.

The airbrushing took some time to get used to, but it's certainly faster than painting every tank by hand.
And I kept the stupid sawtooth pattern, because why not.

@Dekana - I like the sawtooth pattern, it gives your army its own character.

Today I finished reading an Osprey book on the Peloponnesian War. Kinda want to paint up a Greek army now. Next up, a book on the Russo-Japanese War of 1904.
