Mordheim board so far

Post by ashmie » Tue Sep 28, 2010 9:34 am

Big thanks to everyone who made the effort to join on Saturday. Luke and Ikeda San arigatou for coming down from Nagoya.
It was very satisfying to get the board done in time and at a basic level I was happy with.
We had 5 players throughout the day, people turned up at different times so it worked quite well.
One game was 3 players and another was 4 players. We had a house rule of rolling for priority each turn much like lotr. It added quite a random element to the game and was useful as we were playing with more than two warbands at the same time.

I want to run this event again possibly in November as I think the guys in Nagoya and other players who couldn't make would have a blast. Thinking of making a second board for then.
Sundays seem best for most people. How about either November 7th or November 14th?
Let me know.

Meanwhile enjoy the pics: http://s591.photobucket.com/albums/ss35 ... %20August/

PS: I will try and make the effort to join Flames next week and Hallohammer. Still not sure of my schedule and time to get everything prepared but will give it a good go. Positive thinking, that's the key. :)

Thanks lads,

Cool Primach, if you could send me some card links for buildings that would be great. I heard the Maulifaux set was good.

Satarou brought the original Mordheim buildings which are card plus some paper models. I added the plastic GW stuff and the Inn. Egor brought his converted 40k scenery for the castle ruin which we added some LOTR ruins to. It tool me about 5 days to make the board, I got the main idea from Spevna. Cardboard cobbled streets cut and drybrushed into 1 inch squares.
Cheers Spevna.

It was really fun to make, I still have enough board for another one so I'll get started on that soon.

Nice looking board mate, and I'm glad to be your muse ;)

But it's got me thinking that my board needs a bit of TLC....

The Malifaux stuff looks great, but you cant download it. Its printed on REALLY thick card and connected together with plastic clips.

This stuff http://www.davesgames.net/wfrp2/pdf is pretty good. I have some of the files I can PM to you if you want. I downloaded a bunch of them when he was offering them for free, but it seems like the owner has gone "pro" now.

Great stuff thanks. That's a good site. Yeah if you could send me some of the files you have that would be most helpful.

Nice stuff in the works there. The small tower with the blue crenelations looked nice. The center ruins are on the way to be a thing of beauty.
I've been in the mood for Mordhiem recently. Read a book called, "Life in a Medieval Castle", and just started "The Name of the Rose". I'm feeling all crumbly-castley.
And the "A man and his dog" picture made me smile. Look carefully Badruck, your arch-nemisis still prowls the dark streets of the city of the damned..........
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....
