Hmm, it's not really screaming kabalite to me, I'm afraid. There is maybe a passing resemblance. The leg armor is fashioned after storm cast eternal armor. The rest looks right at home with high end imperial stuff -i.e powerfist.

Nope - I saw that, too. Basically she's rockin' all the Eldar paraphernalia. I bet you she is secretly a fan with a poster of Eldrad behind her closet door and a biography of Vect under the bed.

Elf-poser. Remember that from Shadowrun? She ought to have co-play Spock ears on. Does she I don't see the big fuss about the figure though. Almost anyone could slap that together out of their bitz box. (I don't think I have a shuri-cat, so I'm out.)

Lots and lots of lovely stuff. Dig the giant, the soul-sucking Necron, the snotlings made me smile. I had a buddy back in the day who would could field armies of snotlings and these new Sisters say everything that is 40K.

Sooo the Silent King is returning and hopefully that means more than just a new character model. There's a bunch of theory mongering about him heralding in 9th edition and stuff like that but that might be a bit much. I just hope there's some more Xeno focused story progression that impacts galactic stage.

Anyway, the Imperium has had a spectacular run of the last year or so, hope Necrons can have a decent splash.

I'm expecting something like the Eldar got - a new character and whatever those Buff Necrons are as a new unit, but not much else.

On the other hand, AdMech have got a whole slew of new units, so who knows?

(In other news, GW showed design sketches for Kislev polar bears for the Old World reboot thing, and a lot of very bitter grogs are very Internet Angry about it for some reason. Best not to dwell.)

I haven’t even looked at the armoured bears, other than the quick pic that came in my email this morning from geedubs, but it doesn’t surprise me that the grognards are grumpy. They’re always grumping about something - that’s what makes em grognards. First they complain that GW dumped the Old World, now they’re complaining that GW is developing new stuff for the Old World. You can’t have it both ways, peeps!

Anyway, fwiw, I think Kislevite armoured bears are cool. Because of course they bloody are. I expect all kinds of cool Cossack nonsense to come, too. Maybe even one day we can get that flying carpet-riding, genie-summoning Araby army that the fluff was crying out for. One day...

I think he meant Jain Zar.

Grognard literally comes from the French word 'Grogner', which means 'to grumble.' Grognard was a term originally used for Napoleon's Old Guard, (despite the name, most of them were in their 30's) the veterans of his army. Regular troops were expected to keep their mouths shut and get on with things, but due to the respect for their experience and skill, the Old Guard were permitted to speak freely, often complaining about the hardships of campaigning and earning the moniker Les Grognards.

Also, armoured bears would potentially be very cool.

Yeah, Jain Zar. My thinking is that the Eldar got her and resculpts for the Banshees, the Drukhari got their incubus leader and new incubus sculpts, and that was pretty much it for both ranges. The (admittedly very teaser-y) Necron teaser video talks about a returning personage, and the only things in the pictures that look particularly different from Necrons we know are the buff dudes, so my personal "GW Kremlinology" guess is that that's pretty much what we'll get.

Ooh, well, in that case, pfft. *flaps hands dismissively* Jain Zar isn’t new - she’s a resculpt (albeit a much needed one). The eldar haven’t seen anything actually new in, like, forever.
