In other finishing things that have been partially done for a while news, Outriders have now had their primer hidden.

Not planning on bringing those *either* this month so the still unpainted Bladeguard are mocking me. They really are next though.

It's always the things you "have" to do that are the least motivating in my experience! Looking good, though.

I finished up my very-sloppity bilepiper:

Shame I don't really have a use for him on the field - the Poxbringer suits my strategy much better, but this model is orders of magnitude nicer. (Probably I'll field him as counts-as for just that reason.) Just 3 bases of nurglings to go, then I can take a break from nurgle, which - while I've worked out a paint scheme that's quick and looks good - is starting to feel a bit same-y.
Feel free to call me Dave!

@Jye & ToD - Nice work, you're both really productive and putting the rest of us to shame.

As for myself, I spent the better part of my weekend playing Total War: Warhammer II. Having played several of the Total War series of games, it's pretty far from being my favourite edition in terms of UI and design, but it does make me nostalgic for WFB.

Oh cool, I really like that model as well. I think you definitely should proxy it.

I actually think it's one of the best games in the whole series. Just in terms of gameplay and amount of content. But yeah I almost dont want to play it because I miss WFB too much.

Sloppity Bilepiper is an all round champ but the name in particular is priceless. You owe it to Warhammer to use that model somehow, Dave (and awesome work on it).

These girls' job is to follow Ragnar/Sangrior around and what they've learned from her is to pose on things.

They *are* showing up on the 20th, but not the 6 more of them waiting in the wings.

I've been chugging through nurglings the past week or so, which is getting dull I tell you what, so I'm also doing a bit of work on the Traitor Command expansion for Blackstone (the renegade commissar and chaos ogryn), then yesterday I picked up the orc warband for Underworlds, and a goblin team for blood bowl, the latter mostly because I also got my sister in the States to go to Barnes and Noble to pick up blitz bowl for me and send it along.

I've been hearing lots of good things about blitz bowl as a fast-playing alternative to blood bowl, so figured what the heck. The main thing it seems to lack versus BB "proper" is league play, which we can never manage anyway, so a 30-45-minute version with by-all-accounts really good design by James M. Hewitt seems an easy purchase.
Blitz Bowl is good fun! Season 2 (version 2?) is about to be released next month...
I saw that just after I'd ordered mine! We'll see how much it sets my sister back to ship the season 1 box and a team to me - it might be tricky to keep up to date with it. Is there supposed to be much in the way of new rules (aside from the new team cards in there), or just a repackaging with dwarves in?
Late reply, sorry! Yeah Season 2 has some rule and stat tweaks and a campaign system. I have it on order, should get it later this month.
So many games, so little time....

Can you get Blitz Bowl anywhere other than ordering it direct from B&N?

Wow, I love the bases!

I love the bases too, which is why I bought them  Probably shouldn't have wasted them on generic infantry, even if they are some of the best the Marines have to offer, but I was otherwise out of sculpted 40mm 🤷

Master Inquisitor Tara with various gifts from her allies.

Using a Battle Sister may not have been optimal but the scale is right and I'm not sure how else I can do her equipment without using a Grey Knight body or similar.

Aside from eBay, no - and B&N isn't even shipping internationally these days. (Hence having my sister send it to me.) It's a shame, since you hear really good things about the game.
