S - can't I get my images to show?

Re: What did you do today.
You need to use the image's link which should have a .jpg or something at the end.
You can get that link by right clicking the image and clicking "Copy image address".
For that last post it should've been https://i.imgur.com/aEaNlqX.jpeg
Which should show up like so: (Click quote on this message to see how it's formatted exactly)

Re: What did you do today.
If you want a cheaper basing solution that works similarly to GW's out of the pot solutions, you could try the texture paint by Tamiya.Balloonacorn wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 2:15 amNot happy with the basing - tried Mordant Earth but put it on too thin. I think it is going to be too expensive as a basing agent for my whole army -still looking for that perfect, inexpensive basing agent. I have tried sand, cork and now Mordant Earth.
Its 691yen for 100ml and 1210yen for 250ml as opposed to GW's pots which are 1060yen for 24ml.
They have various colours of earth as well as some others like snow and pavement too but they don't have anything like the cracked textures that GW has. Personally, when I use the earth texture, if I'm not priming over it, I like to give it a wash and dry brush it to make it look a little better.

Re: What did you do today.
One of the reasons I switched to sculpted bases was finding their price/outcome ratio looking better and better compared to Astrogranite and Valhallan Blizzard, especially given how they tend to take Contrast pretty well.
I still think the texture paints are pretty cool but you need a lot for an army.
That's a nice, clean looking Marine, Balloonacorn! Can't wait to see them on the table.

For my part the Wyches are done, completing my Drukhari army. Yay!
...wait, we're receiving reports Drukhari, while currently very good, are highly reliant on their transports and I in fact assembled and primed three of the things that they cannot do without. So still a fair push to go before game day!

Those are looking really good, Jye! We may make a painter of you yet!
Ballonacorn, too! A good paint job well-executed. (Friendly suggestion - painting the rims of your bases some dark color will really tie the whole thing together nicely!)
I've been chugging along at the Seraphon warband for Underworlds over the past couple few days. I'm very much in a "no-hurry" paint mode these days - everything in cycles.

I plan to quit painting as soon as there are no more models I need to paint in order to field. The Other Dave wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 9:27 amThose are looking really good, Jye! We may make a painter of you yet!
Which will be very soon, after the rest of these Drukhari, the remaining Dark Angels and Wolves, the Sisters releasing in a couple of months, I guess an Underworlds warband every month or two, and more Stormcast whenever AoS 3 hits.
I feel like I've been tricked somehow
Anyway snuck in one more Drukhari model today:

Just the last Raider and Lelith to go, though Lelith might be waiting a while as she's not actually that good while the stock Succubus is excellent.
Re: What did you do today.
Nice, Jye. I'm jealous at how fast you're pumping out those Drukhari vehicles!
I really like the colours as well - you don't often see Dark Eldar done in a vibrant colour scheme.
