I finished up my Crimson (Azure?) Court tonight for Underworlds:

Vampires with no red, partly out of my usual sheer contrariness, partly because I'm trying to rein in the super-saturated Contrast look a bit. I really like how the various steel colors came out - I was really shooting for just blue-gray on the armor, but found early on that I'd sort of inadvertently figured out a nice metal tone and leaned into it a bit. Some of the experiments worked better than others, but the armor on Vellas (the lady) in particular turned out nice.

@TOD- that is nice. The figures really would lend themselves to contrast paints I imagine. The flat areas are not too big and have a bit of curve to them, which would head off some of that weird pooling you see on bigger figures? Not that I have used them yet. I picked up some primary colors and will experiment one of these days....
I bet the armor would look good with a base coat of bright silver. Well, maybe not for muhahaha Vampires! But for panzeez and the like, it might look purty.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Yet more competition for the crowded Elite slot in the Sisters army.

I do have more of the Sacresants (shield girls) but I might want to play a game with them and form an opinion about their weapon options first.

Two more members of the "they're good now" club, Ephrael Stern and Kyganil of the Bloody Tears.

Also a random Sister Superior because they have a lot of weapon options and I am scared of magnets.

Orks are going up in Toughness.

Sisters' flamers went up in Strength.

I took the hint!

(The hint I should have taken on these models was not to persist with brushes and paint pots that were too far gone, but they're good enough to fill out squads)

I took advantage (for certain values of "take advantage") of not going to games day today to finish up Kainan's Reapers:

And that's 35 of 36 Underworlds warbands done, soberingly enough! I should get the sea elves in this week, then I'll be able to take a break until the new season comes out.

@ToD, I would love to see a shot of all the Underworlds warbands laid out in one shot once you're done with the moist elves.

Like Dave I ended up using my hobby day painting (with a bunch of people online) and ended up for painting for roughly 10 hours. Even with all the banter I managed to get a decent amount of painting done. I even have a convenient before/after comparison.

I was thinking of it, but I'm not sure it's actually physically possible with the space I have available for picture taking.

Love the orcs!

The Orks are awesome, can't wait to see them rolling across the table.
