@All - Cool work guys.
@Jus - Yep, that is definitely a better looking model.

I need to eventually learn how to play Gorka Morka. Hopefully soon after things calm down a bit.
Here's another kit-bash. I'm hoping its pretty obvious what its supposed to be. It should roughly be the same size too. I just need to get a base ready for it now and probably throw on a few more details before giving it a proper lucky paint job.

Re: What did you do today.
Hey cool! Great to see the old Orky kitbashing spirit alive and well.
For my part I spent most of the day organising storage for the minis that had been taking over the tatami room (sweet stackable plastic drawers from Nitori), assembling (Deathshrouds, Castigator and new Sisters banner lady) and cracking open the Leadbelcher I bought yesterday to finish off this lot:

These have been primed a long time, hence the misadventures with flight stands rather than the crates and barrels I switched to for Inceptors. This is the third squad I've done but the first two are in Wolf colours where they're not going to really flourish; in successor colours (and hence the Imperial Fist or Dark Angel rules for those colours iny Crusade) they might do better with a friendlier set of buffs.

I realise that as the official moderator of pointy-eared swoosh I should be haughtily unimpressed with all this primitive orky gubbinry. But, as someone who thoroughly enjoyed kitbashing his own trukk some years back, and also very much enjoyed painting a nob and a mega-dredd, I have to give all orky wotzitz on these pages a hearty stamp of approval. Very nice work, folks. Job's a good 'un.
Also, it should be noted that technically orks have pointy ears, too. Just sayin...

It's been a long time since I've waaghed. I went and picked up a box of flash gitz again. They might need an trukk too.

Re: What did you do today.
That Trukk feels like an old friend even though I think I've only played against it once in real life. Awesome to see it all painted up, it's looking great!

Wolf Lord with Frost Claws and a bunch of Shield/Claw Wolf Guard, in case I ever need a competitive army for some reason and don't feel like playing Sisters for some other reason.
These mostly got bad primer jobs but I once again had good luck attacking them with a toothbrush. The blurriest girl up the back got basecoasted before I discovered the toothbrush tip and thus is not allowed to be in focus ever.

Nice! You need to pick up some Wave rivets and bolts. You can find them at the bigger hobby shops in with the Gundam stuff. Milliput or a green-stuff Miliput mix (if you are worried about flexibility like maybe on a bendy wing) is great for sculpting/filling in metallic shapes and bits.Karantu wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 1:49 pmI need to eventually learn how to play Gorka Morka. Re: What did you do today.
Finished up my second Bloat Drone, and the official end of my Primarch Death Guard Bonanza Box:

The fleshmower conversion bit is a 3D print, helpfully printed out by Jus' A-1 3D Printing Service, including very helpfully reprinting when it turned out the original file produced something about 50% too big.
Turned out pretty good for a freely available sti file designed by a random hobbyist! The fit's a little janky, but that's perfectly acceptable for a ramshackle daemon engine, I reckon.
