I did fix the primer on these two but then did not give them the TLC they deserve; there were many mishaps due to lack of attention and they bore the brunt of them, needing glue in some cases and hiding of paint meant for an Absolute Unit in others. Still, they got to battlefield ready!

First time I've used Wyldwood for skin; not sure about it yet but with even Fireslayer Flesh feeling a bit pale I need to find something in the contrast range that helps diversify the team.

Finished up some shoota boyz for my shoota nob to boss around. Although I just realised that boy in the back looks like he's about to stab his mate in the back.

Not 100% sure if they're Daughters of Russ who served in the Deathwatch and abused their connection with Master Inquisitor Tara to bring the stuff home with them, or if Tara is abusing her connections to build her own personal Deathwatch Kill Team. Maybe a little of both?

I've been poking away at my Reivers for my Astartes kill team, but mostly over the past couple weeks I've been semi-regretting (in terms of getting enough sleep, mostly) picking up the Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

(Mass Effect chat: It holds up pretty dang well for a series that started in - oh my god was it that long ago - 2007. I was semi-surpised when I started ME1 by how fun it was, but then imported my character up to ME2 and was immediately reminded of how much better the latter is than the former. Still, a nice little nostalgia punch to hold me 'til February when the new Horizon game releases.)

hisahiburi- I have done jack-all-hobby-wise this summer. Had big plans to tidy up and try to sell off some toys, but international mail from Japan is still 'effed up and it's just not worth it at the moment.

I have a big Napoleonics project on the way, so to get warmed up I dug this out of the dread heap of unpainted. Not that there were any Owlbears fighting in that era. Maybe with the Scots, one of you historical grognards could tell me. It's an original Bones cast from the first Kickstarter, but holds up for tabletop. Quite the contrast to Grant's exquisite, mad-Spaniard sculpted, Morganna.

Owlbears are great and that's a great Owlbear.

@Mattb and @Karantu really appreciating the awesome, clean work you do with the Orks, these jerks took up a lot of my Silver Week break and they're still a bit of mess 😅. Still, they're going to make it to the table!

Callin' it finished. I feel okay about the OSL, but I still think it could be better.
P.S. idk why the images are so huge.
