I think their skull faceplate things have always been weirdly smooth and not skull-like, which has always looked a bit... odd? Comic-ish? to me.

I reckon if I end up with any (eg Combat Patrol box) I'll slap some Drukhari heads on. Reapers should be kind of edgy, right?

I know, these new ones just seem to have dialled it up a notch.The Other Dave wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 1:46 amI think their skull faceplate things have always been weirdly smooth and not skull-like, which has always looked a bit... odd? Comic-ish? to me.
Good to see more plastic aspect warriors though.

Drukhari heads, like Skitarii heads, are good for everything.Jye Nicolson wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 2:03 amI reckon if I end up with any (eg Combat Patrol box) I'll slap some Drukhari heads on. Reapers should be kind of edgy, right?
Also the Reapers have helmetless options for Ynnari sparkleburst shenanigans, which may look better too.

Those mirror helmets are an awesome upgrade to a wide range of minis! Plus you don't need to paint the eyes.The Other Dave wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 4:08 amDrukhari heads, like Skitarii heads, are good for everything.Jye Nicolson wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 2:03 amI reckon if I end up with any (eg Combat Patrol box) I'll slap some Drukhari heads on. Can confirm dark eldar heads are beastman-sprue level versatile. In fact, the whole dark eldar range is superbly interchangeable with other eldar bits. I have the best part of a harlequin squad cobbled together out of DE bits.
But back on topic: the reapers are fine. They look like reapers, theyre plastic. Fine. I would've liked the exarch to have his foot up on a rock, or even have em standing on something aiming down at some poor schmuck, but hey ho, they're still plenty fine as-is.
And fwiw, helmets on all round, please. Unless youre an Ynnari then aspect warriors literally can't fight without their helmet. Putting it on is integral to the ritual where they subsume their personality into their war-lust madness persona. The reason exarchs sometimes don't wear helmets is because they're permanently in war mode and can never break free of it. That's what it means to be an exarch, and it's why they freak out all the regular eldar. Ynnari are an exception because they're all emo and "oh man, life is such a drag, it's like...we're all dead anyway, so why bother fighting it?" (I haven't read anything re Ynnari more recent than their very first kinda codex, so I daresay this is completely inaccurate by now, but hey ho - I'm happy to be corrected
)
Anyway: reapers are fine.

Looking at the Dark Reaper helmets, I sort of get a Dr Who Cybermen feeling? Kind of. If you were an ace painter I suppose you could use the Dark Elder eyeless faceplates and superimpose a digital computerized skull face maybe.
Re: Let's have a GW rumors and sneak peeks thread!
Help! GW somehow managed to cross a Catapult with an Urbanmech and the result is way too adorable.
Forgeworld is going to be making them so they're going to be resin but I might have to get a few...

Aye, the S7 Shock on the Neutron laser looks pretty juicy, although the pose is awfully static and I have to raise an eyebrow at Warhounds with draining weapons. I imagine I'll pick one up, but TBH I'm more excited for the inevitable 3D-printed Reaver-fit neutron laser from Battle Bling.
Also there's new plastic Warlocks:

Which, again, they're warlocks all right.
Which means they're cool looking, of course, and I do admire their dedication to remaining true to all the original Jes Goodwin concept art.
