I really like that restrained blue - it makes the yellow and gold look really nice.

I bashed out a few dungeon explorers for Tiny Epic Dungeons:
Image
Psionic, Bard, Mage, Dryad. Eh, extremely quick and dirty but it'll do. The scale is a trip - I measured, and they're H-to-G "true 25mm scale" (25mm to eye level), which used to be the industry standard way back in the day but now feels really really tiny.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Great job, especially on such microscopic minis (what scale are we at now on average? 28mm? 32? )

It depends on the game you're playing, but 32mm seems like GW's average. It's probably even higher if you count the embiggening of marines to Primaris size.

Yeah, I think GW is officially up to "Heroic 32mm" these days.

Clown patrol now done so hopefully they can hit the table in a week's time!

Working on the Escher now, then the remaining Custodes. Not sure I can promise they'll be done (and possibly nobody wants to see the Custodes done before they get deservedly nerfed  ) but at least the production line is moving again

@Jye - Looks like you are all set for the circus to begin.

I haven't posted in a while, so here is a dump of stuff I did this month.
A creepy spider-woman (Jourogumo) from Reaper.

Some kind of bird-woman, also from Reaper.

A giant golem, again, Reaper.

A mix of Vikings from Gripping Beast, Warlord Games and Footsore Miniatures.

A pair of Ninja from Zenit Miniatures.

Some Khorne Bloodletters.

And some Lizardmen.

And here they are on a movement tray.

Great work (as usual) on what is (as usual) an awesome spread of different models, Primarch!

The Escher took a little more of my long weekend than initially planned but they got done!

(Other than that grenade launcher of course 😅)

Great work on the mini painting, Prim and Jye (and I'm starting to see a lot of similarities between Jye's preferred minis and own. Harlies, Corsairs and now Escher? Clearly a man of taste and style *tips hat Jye-wards*)

As for me, until a few days ago I've mostly been working my way through Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm enjoying it, but I've gone and let myself get distracted before I could finish it up. My kids have started painting the minis we got from Tyranii-chan (many thanks!) and in order to expedite speedy tabletop play, I've agreed to paint a squad of Assault Intercessors while kiddo the elder tackles the biker squad and kiddo the younger does the Primaris Captain guy with the shield. So, I spent the long weekend getting some base colour down on the chop squad and doing all the highlights to the blue. My goals are:

Keep them looking similar enough to what my kids are doing that it won't stand out too much.
Paint em quickly.
Try to enjoy it (so far, successfully. Say what you like about spess mahreenz, but they paint up easy.)

Next up: pipes and belts and stuff.

Ive also finally got around to watching the first couple of eps of season 6 of The Expanse (so far, so good, although Inaros jr annoys me).

Oh, and someone at Epic games is listening in to my brain. My most hated mechanic in fortnite is the build mechanic (this is a plague on the game. It's also the major selling point that differentiates it from all the other battle royal type games around, sadly) and I also really enjoy the ability to outmanoeuvre oppos via clever positioning (sniping from a bush is my happy place). A new season started yesterday and (temporarily 😭) building has been completely removed, and they've added in both a sprint mechanic and mantling. And an infra-red scope sniper rifle! Sniper heaven! Huzzah!

Anyway. Hopefully I can finish up those marines this week, and maybe level up a bit in fortnite. (Incidentally, if anybody ever fancies a bit of online shooty pewpew, I'd be more than happy to give you a game. Tis free, you know, and plenty fun. PM me, if interested 🔫👍😁)
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

Calling my squigbuggy good enough for now. Such a fun model and one of the things they made me want to collect Orks a long with the scrapjets.

It's technically not finished since there's supposed to be another Ork on the back with a shotgun - but I need a break from Orks, so he can wait.
