Fingers crossed for a quick recovery for you and yours, MiJ!

...I'm thinking a quiet weekend in painting might be the way to go with the Covid explosion. Not short of backlog at least!

Meredith Stanley done. Kinda wanted to do a different skin tone from the Eyes and Ears, but wanted to be done with her more.
Now all I have left to paint for this crew is Nexus, Nexus, Nexus, Nexus, and Cavatica.

Nice bottles!

I really like the understated, almost monochrome color schemes you have going for these guys.

@The Other Dave
Thank you!. I just do the colors that are on the box/card artwork for the most part. The professional artists come up with the color schemes for me that way.

@Grantholomeu - Your crew is looking really nice.

Today I finished up all the brushwork on my current batch of Ultramarines. I still need to apply transfers to finish them off. I also spent a lot of time procrastinating about building some minis.

I have some Cataphractii Terminators, some Tartaros Terminators and some Indomitus Terminators. My plan was to swap some torsos between them as the Indomitus models all have some cool Dark Angels robes and stuff on them. Rules/lore-wise, Cataphractii is the toughest armour, Tartaros is the most high-tech, and Indomitus is the worst. So, I wanted to use the themed parts to make the better armour pop.

Unfortunately, none of the torsos and legs are cross compatible. I could shave down the legs from the Tartaros or Cataphractii to fit, but the Indomitus legs wouldn't work with the other set of bodies. Essentially I'd be kitbashing two squads to make one, and at GW prices that is unacceptable. So I have hit kind of an impasse. It looks like my terminators in premium grade armour are going to be pretty bland, while the plebs in peasant grade junk are going to have all of the bling. :(

That could be a useful deception tactic though. Opponents might think, "Ehh I'll never spray down those blinged-out terminators. Let me take a shot at the less decorated ones," not knowing that they're even tougher. At least that's how I'd think if I didn't know the stats of someone's units well.

I finished up Blackpowder's Buccanners for Underworlds:

I hadn't been too excited about bringing them to the table, on account of they're tricky to use and strictly fair-to-middling, power-wise, but they turned out so nicely I just might have to see what I can do with them.

I managed to get a little conversion work for my Horus Heresy forces done tonight.
First off, a librarian for my Word Bearers.
Image
Next a standard bearer for my Dark Angels.
Image
And finally a Paladin of the Hekatonystika, a unique option for Dark Angels (on the left), and Holguin, Master of the Deathwing (on the right).
