It might be the background too! It's definitely purple in person, my wife remarked it was the "Evangelion colour"

As I am apparently now painting a Novamarines army, I need some HQ models to complete it.
So, I spent an hour or so kitbashing and converting a mini from one of the new HH Praetors.

Looks great! There's a Crusade upgrade for Master of the Marches too (gives you cheap Strategic Reserves, so nice if you want to do a bit of flanking).

I've *assembled* about 50PL for this sudden mad purple scheme but I need a good priming day and some shoulder pads from Forge World to finish the job.

A quick Typhus, Host of the Destroyer Hive.

One of the things that bugs me a bit about the campaign books for 40k is they're very much about these named characters that nobody is playing, like a 90s rpg metaplot. So for the September game day I'm going to run this loser in an NPC Crusade force and give Crusade bonuses to anyone who can kill him.

I've got the rest of the Combat Patrol assembled and mostly primed but the plan only really requires this guy.
