March Nagoya Games Day - 3/26 at e-able Nagoya

Post by The Other Dave » Tue Feb 28, 2023 1:38 am

Hi all!

We're at e-able again this month, in the room up on the 3rd floor.

Word has probably gotten around, but Kondo-san let me know last time that game days will probably be free for the rest of the year as high attendance last year gave them a bunch of extra money, so whee!

I'm tentatively planning to play some AT or Epic, BUT if anyone wants to continue our Darkest Dungeon campaign (different players are perfectly OK, although the characters are locked in) I'd be more than happy to do that instead! We should be able to wrap up the level 2 boss and get some headway on the level 3 boss in one day.
Feel free to call me Dave!

I'm kind of leaning towards Malifaux this month, but could easily be swayed into continuing Dark n' Dunge if everyone else wants to.

I will be there for 40k - some flavour of Marines most likely, Blood Angels if I'm industrious with painting, Black Templars or Space Wolves if not.

It might also be skirmish o'clock if anyone is interested in Warcry or Kill Team?

It looks like I will be there. I'm thinking to bring Battletech if anyone would like to give it a shot?

Wow! This month everyone wants to play games I want to play.

I would like to play Malifaux if available, I will wait to see if anyone else is jumping in.

Kill Team and Warcry would also be enjoyable. Can I assume one game or double header?

Darkest Dungeon was great and as the number one support character I don't know how the party could survive without me.

All is good.

My preference would be to play one session 40k, one session skirmish, in which case I'd expect two games in the skirmish slot.

There, even put an alert on my calendar so I won't miss it this time. Will not miss it this time!
I'm up for some Darkest Dungery.
I do want to try Warcry one of these days. It has an old-school Realms of Chaos feel to it. Rag-tag bands of Chaos Mauraders, mutants and scum wandering around the blighted, nightmare realms committing atrocities in the name of thankless, laughing gods. Probably not next month, but one of these days. Kitbashing a "counts" as "X" Warband would be so much fun!
What would be really fun would be an old school Mordhiem campaign! It has that Darkest Dungeon vibe and a bit of the Warcry thing and has a solid campaign and experience system. Not everyone likes campaigns, there are always issues of balance, but I really enjoy the narrative that comes from that style.

Sounds good to me. Put me down for the Kill Team slot. AM or PM?

Let's play AM since the 40k crowd aren't early risers
