OK, here's my final three plague marines (for a while, probably):
Image
(And of course I immediately spot the unfinished spikes on the plague flail guy's right forearm.)
Which gives me enough for two full 10-strong squads and either a fully-equipped 7-strong one or a sub-optimal third 10-strong one. I'm again at the stage where I don't see myself getting too much to expand - the only really obvious gaps in my collection are a daemon prince or a land raider (getting which would also lead to my getting more terminators), and those are both pretty pricey, especially in the face of epic coming out.

Now that I'm painting again, I took the opportunity to finish up a few more Darkest Dungeon weirdos: Supplicants, Manservants, and Chevaliers from the Crimson Court:

The chevaliers (the third guys here) didn't turn out too great but what are you going to do.

Guess I'm back in painting mode again. Took me a while to get around to them, but here's Hexbane's Hunters done for Underworlds!

@ToD - Great work as always.

I finished painting a few models last Monday, but it has taken me until now to get them photographed and uploaded. A friend asked me for half a dozen minis for an RPG. I think I may have overdone it a little.

The models are all from Dust Tactics, a now defunct game that wasn't very popular when it was available. The models are pretty cool if you dig the weird world war two vibe. They are closer to 1/48 scale than the standard 1/56, but they painted up easily.

I always did dig the Weird War II aesthetic. Dust is Paolo Parente too, right?

This morning I put the finishing touches on the Baron from Darkest Dungeon - of all the weirdos that game has to offer, he's probably the weirdo-est, partly because he's a gross tick centaur and partly because they made the model with his most audacious attack animation.

Yeah that's a proper weirdo. I like the spell is so far off the base, I assume the rules interact with that in some fashion, or does he just rudely intrude on squares that don't belong to him?

Nice work on the Hunters too, I like the attention to the scars on that good boy there.

Cool squads @Primarch, that's going to be a great session of that RPG now!

Movement and targeting is abstracted into "zones," so as long as his base is in the right one it's not a problem.

Some of the Indomitus long tail getting across the line.

There'll need to be a few more of those though as there's a spare sergeant in want of a squad.

The longest residents of my backlog, not counting any models from when I was a kid that might be floating around Australia somewhere. I bought these models for Kill Team (note: cannot be fielded WYSIWYG in KT, though the Reiver conversions were good for it) and didn't even assemble them myself, relying on a friend for it.

I'm also finishing some stuff up. Here's a Courtesan from Darkest Dungeon, in "normal" and "woah" mode:
Image

Image
(For those not familiar with the computer game, the idea is that when they're "thirsty" (for blood, in your best Bela Lugosi voice if you please) they have the more human form, and once they get a taste they hulk out into their monstrous "bloodthirst" form. In the computer game they have different stats and attacks, but in the board game they're just alternate sculpts.

Also the Crocodilian, everyone's favorite TPK-ing skill check:
Image
I love his little snout, he's such a Muppet.

As usual, they're all a bit rough and ready, but they look great on the table! Two models to go and I'm all done with Darkest Dungeon! (At least until Q1 2024 when they're saying the next expansions should be out.)
