Seriously, the Necron Monolith has EXACTLY the same ability (except for the -1 to damage rolls) can wipe out several units of infantry at the same time, is 70 or so points cheaper, can deepstrike ONTO a unit and teleport units from across the table....Where is your rant about that eh?

I'm saving it for when somebody actually threatens to use one. Ive never played against 'crons in my life. Id quite like to, though.

@ Prime the monolith has not and will not be seen near as much as these will be... wait no one has one of these and truth be told I am not sure anyone will be getting one any time soon...

I've been planning to buy one since I saw the preview from Games Day. (Before I read the rules). I wont be fielding one against M_i_J though since I have no wish to have him foam at the mouth.

Why I discount CC against this landy:

step 1) get 3 of em
step 2) park at rear of army
step 3) whale on opposition from across the table.
step 4) wait for a long time while their avatar and wraithlord run across the board as they cant get into vehicles or outflank or anything like that. Continue to whale on em for this time period.

Do you know anyone who would play like that though?

I only have 1 troops choice and 1 or 2 fast attack. I dont have any HQ, elites or anything else. I got the Monlith off ebay a while back and I bought 1 battleforce. I may be getting more crons next year, but I am holding off since a lot of stuff is either getting a new sculpt or coming out in plastic.
