Page 31 – Howling Banshees, Banshee Mask.

Replace this entry with the following:

Banshee Mask: In the first round of an assault, a model wearing

a Banshee mask has Initiative 10, even if it charged through

difficult terrain. Furthermore, defensive grenades cannot be

used against a charging model with a Banshee Mask.

Page 31 – Howling Banshees, Executioner.

Replace the last sentence with the following profile:

Range S AP Type

- +2 3 Melee, Two-handed

I just had a look here and there seems to be only one faq point at the moment, regarding the Shadow Weaver Weapon:

What do they call that special rule? Wraith-woe? Wraith-angst? Wraith-mope? Wraith-wimpern'whine? Wraith-boohoohoo? I am so looking forward to getting a look at this codex. I've been needing some new material for Elf mockery.

Re: banshee masks. I prefer:

Banshee Mask: A model wearing a Banshee Mask makes its attacks at the I-10 stage of the assault sub-phase on the turn it charges. A model or unit charged by a model wearing a banshee mask must make an Ld check. If they fail, they may not fire overwatch this turn.

I don't see that being broken, and it matches the fluff to a tee. Banshees charge you, their psychic howl paralysis your nervous system for a few seconds, thus you can neither shoot them nor react much to their attacks. However, if you charge a unit of banshees then the masks don't do squat, cos the ladies haven't got their waaaagh on yet.

Out of curiosity, is there anybody here who can see a problem with the rules I just made up? Don't get me wrong - I have no intention of ever trying to use em, but I think they're pretty good. Better than GWs efforts, anyway...

At least they are FAQing it. Time was they'd just ignore it until the next edition came out...

Incidentally - bugger me, but that was quick!

Wow that is an awesome wraith knight! :o

As for GW, it is good that they are FAQing more promptly, but they have a long ways to go in that department compared to the likes of BF or PP. Anyway, at the prices they charge and the size of their operation, I hold them at slightly higher standard and expect they should proof read very well and have a grip on their myriad rules.
