@Grant - looking good! I was actually up at Volk's the other day and got all tempted by one or two of the big old display models you see on Twitter a bunch. Maybe someday! (And OSL is hard!)

Last night I got most of the base colors done on my Reivers (so just edge highlighting, trim, and decals to go), and did Tali's loyalty mission in ME2.

Great work, Grant and Ash! Fantasy busts and historicals are probably on opposite ends of some hobby spectrum but you're both doing a bang up job 😃

@Dave: Tali is important. Glad to see your priorities are in order.

*nods seriously* That one Paragon button mash is the most important point in the game. You know the one.

A ways back I think we had a little bit of a discussion on color theory and (de-)saturation and what-not, and lo and behold! Chill Canadian uber-painter Dana Howl has put together a really nice video tutorial about the subject. Very clear and easy to understand, good stuff. (She focuses on her own base technique that relies a lot on translucent glazes and Contrasts, but does talk about how you can apply the theory to traditional acrylic paints too.)

Great Video

Now I am even more intimidated by painting

"Old marines are being squatted" they said "Primaris are OP" they said "Efficiently costed Firstborn units will definitely not be staples of competitive play and just super convenient for filling gaps in your list" they said.

Anyway Attack Bikes are pretty good 😅

.....armed with twin linked bolters and the Multi soaker squirt gun 4000 ( I see those pin holes!)

I agree attack bikes are pretty great.

@TOD: As balloonacorn mentioned. Excellent video. I will have to try it out her primary colors theory on my next minis.

After a weekend of entirely too much assembly I figured I needed to paint *something* and rushed these out.

Their job is to be kind of bad and thus stop my Custodes Kill Team from being too oppressive to play. Unless you're Grey Knights or Thousand Sons, in which case hopefully they go right back to being oppressive. Suffer not the witch!

I picked up these guys for Kill Team but I'm a little suspicious of their utility there, they die a bit slower than their stat line would suggest but I'm not sure how much they actually achieve.

As 2PL fillers for my actual Death Guard army though they should do *great*. Definitely thinking of bringing them along next week.
