Re: What did you do today.
A buncha good stuff there! I think poxwalkers probably have a place in matched play kill team (especially if you use them more cannily than I did in that one game), but in spec ops play they potentially do a lot to deny you XP gains, which is sub-optimal.
I've still not been doing much painting (game note: I'd forgotten how kind of bad the writing in ME3 is, and the Citadel DLC, which I hadn't played on release, is a fun japes-and-bants sci-fi jaunt that just doesn't fit with the rest of the mood of ME3 at all) but my brain is rapidly moving into "thinking about Titanicus all the time" mode, so that's OK. I'm also getting a bit excited about Harrowdeep almost in spite of myself, and hoping the Ichinomiya group organizes something before too long.

@Jye: Nice Sister of Silence! They're such cool models, I really wish I got to see them more often.
Meanwhile I'm starting to make my way through my Veteran Guardsman Killteam. I wasn't sure about sticking to these guys or the compendium team, but I really want to run these guys in a Spec Ops campaign since they've got a lot of interesting, unique stuff. Also since they're made up mostly of specialists, I feel like each model has a lot more personality. Hopefully I can get the rest done before next games day!

Nice work Matt, super clean as always.
Less clean is my submission for today:

My determination to avoid expanding my Death Guard keeps failing in the face of how cool the models are. These Deathshrouds are just really neat.

Today I was planning on undercoating my Darkness (now there’s a weird sentence, out of context, eh) but I started kinda tidying my room a bit, just to make space.
An hour and a half later, I decided my room had really gotten badly out of control.
I’ll finish it tomorrow
Then undercoat the mini…

Nice! These look really good. Seargent with the power sword and plasma pistol is my favorite. Timeless modelsMattb wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 12:34 pm@Jye: Nice Sister of Silence! They're such cool models, I really wish I got to see them more often.

Re: What did you do today.
I figured I would
a: Finally start painting again,
and
b: Give my exodites a little help

Hoping you are all having a great weekend! May the glue and brush stay in our hands.

Doesn't quite match the Solaria colours I'll be running it alongside but it got done!
Actually thinking that Flesh Tearers Red might go well alongside the turquoise on the next 40k Knight?
Edit: great work Koji, looks very cool

I am in love with this model. Tell me you have a whole army like this.
"true love is the greatest thing in the world - except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomatoes are ripe."

Re: What did you do today.
Yay! Kbear is painting again! Long live the space dino riders! With pointy eeeeeeaaaaarrrrssssss!!!!!
Also, yay everyone else who is painting, to be honest. I'm dragging myself kicking and screaming back into it, and damn it's hard to get the ol' motor restarted. I managed a nice zenithal undercoat on a few minis today - Hungering Darkness, Gwyneth, and the chaos thug warband for the original Underworlds box, which were taking up space and needed priming so I could put em away and forget about em
(actually, I try to prime minis before I put them away, so's that when the whim takes me, I can just pick em up and go, rather than having to prime then paint them.)
Anyway: next on the block: The Hungering Darkness.
