With these blighters done I have one Skaven Spearhead complete and the other not far off.

Unless I wanted to use both at once, in which case they're another 20 Clanrats off.

That's the other Spearhead painted, so I'm done with rats forever!

After getting back from travelling I picked these guys up again, expecting them to paint up quickly as Termies usually do. I did not reckon with how overdressed these dudes are, typical Dark Angels!

The first unit was already mostly green (as I assumed bone would be too hard) before a friend suggested straight Seraphim Sepia and it actually worked pretty well I think!

Also finally found the Knight pilot so my Canis Rex actually counts as done.

I haven't been at the painting desk recently (and a new update for No Man's Sky means I might not get back to it quick) but I did pick up a second spearhead up at the WH store the other day, so I spend an enjoyable afternoon yesterday putting some orcs together. I figured they's basically the exact opposite of my Slaanesh spearhead in every way (slow, very heavily armored, no tricks just punch) so it should being some interesting variation in. Plus the new 'ardboys look really sweet.

Got back to the painting table after losing January to a combination of ennui and Cultist Simulator, and banged out the Grandfather's Gardeners for Underworlds:

And I only just now realized that poor Slunge in the back is having his face Mike Wazowski'd by his boss's staff.

Whew. Finally got that BANGARANGA terrain base coated and a layer of initial drybrush. I have learned cobbling these things together that I'm too detail orientated and indecisive to just , "Quickly knock together some terrain in a couple of weekends." and that I have really, really lost my painting touch. I figure some piles of junk is a good way to warm up and get back into shape.

Sometimes you've just gotta get your butt in the chair and apply paint to project! And that terrain looks really nice in my book.

Speaking of, these guys have been a monkey on my back for a few months, so I buckled down and finished them off over the past day or two:

Really all I had to do was finish the metals and the basing, and I did the former extremely quick and dirty, but done is done!

@TOD- I do like those Slaneshi whatsits. Nice pose and the hooded/horned/devil-y motif is so old school. I have an old metal Keeper of Secrets in a box in my mom's garage somewhere that would fit right in. Though it's a bit beefier. These look like they do pilates.
