It's not about the price mate. As you may have noticed, money is not a prime concern of mine.

Plus FW dont actually stock very much outside of their own products.

While I completely understand, and indeed approve of, people's disgruntlement with GW, I would like to take a moment to remind people that the Spevna Stance comes in two parts. The first is boycotting GW products until they start treating their customers with more respect. The second, however, is continuing to enjoy the games we love. I am not going to stop playing 40k. I have spent a shedload of money and a garageload of time collecting and painting my armies, and I fully intend to keep playing as I have always done.

I just thought that was worth mentioning. This is not the end of gaming as we know it. It is not even the end of 40k as we know it. It is simply a change in purchasing ideology.

Let's get some gaming done :)

A quick equation to ponder...

Maelstrom/Wayland Sale prices + Freight Forwarding + Strong Yen = Not as bad as ordering from GWJ???

Kinda OT but I heard about this other company that charges its Japanese customers 150% of what it charges American customers for exactly the same product. And this company doesn't even have brick and mortar stores to support either.

On top of that the CEO told angry customers that complained about a faulty new product that it was their fault, they were just using it wrong, rather than admit his product was crap.

This company doesn't even make anything new or particularly special either. They just appropriate the ideas of others, package them in a shiny new package and sell it at a premium to the brain-washed public.

I can't for the life of me remember what the company was called. Something fruity, I think. Cumquat? Persimmon?

Man, it would be a bit silly if one were to champion this company's products and slag off GW, eh? ;)

I think you should try this and let us know how it compares to buying locally. Do it for science! :D

Actually, there is a store in Sakae. I think it's called Lychee?

But the product they sell in Sakae is the actual hardware. I was talking (rather obliquely) about another product of theirs that is wildly popular but is in fact a bunch of 1s and 0s stored electronically on a hard disk somewhere or other that has no physical wait and hence incurs no shipping costs. ;)
I'm pretty sure the name of the company was Durian.

I'm pretty sure it was elderberry. Never used the product in question myself, though, so I couldn't say for sure.

What product does Apple charge Japanese customers more for?
