Edit- Kudos to everyones painting, the squat guard were all completely unique and lovingly panted, the Vos..Voy..Space Kossacks wonderfully eye catching and the sleek, icy blue of the Eldar looked just wonderful as they swept arpund the board. Just me with the matt sprayed army!

Re: June Joshin/Zengo
Cheers Komura san, Konrad and teammate Kojibear! A pleasure to play with you all. A lot of firsts today for me, first game of 7th, with wolves and with drop pods. The pods really were interesting to field and performed well against our fairly stationary tanky guard opponents, but then again, that much armour is hard to shift so we can't say for certainty that the Eldar Wolf alliance would have carried the day if we had actually finished the game. Anyway, I look forward to trying the pods out again with different occupants in future. As long as a new codex doesn't say no, I will be running an all terminator drop pod army sometime.

Thanks for the game of Fantasy, Asch. It was fun and intense! Marching forward and hitting things was a pretty effective strategy for the Lizards this time; I think it would have been closer if all of your Warmachines hadn't self destructed by the third turn!
Re: June Joshin/Zengo
My grey plastic color-themed PDF forces, with assistance from the Adeptus Astartes, won a decisive battle over an orc incursion. Unfortunately, I then lost a couple of vehicles to the orcs in a later skirmish when they raided some weapons caches, so the war for the planet continues.
Some thoughts:
Some thoughts:
- The Wyvern is really, really good against massed light infantry. Here's the effects of an attack from just 1 of the 2 wyverns I brought. If they were in the same squadron, the wyverns probably could have taken out one orc mob per turn.

- The vendetta pulled its weight in the first game, but I feel like it underperformed in the second game. Sure, it's easy to hit with the twin-linked lascannons, but getting pens and actually popping a vehicle is surprisingly difficult.
- Pask as the warlord in a punisher with a plasmacutioner wingman is the way to go.
You can't spell slaughter without laughter.

Thanks for the games guys. I'm looking forward to our next one.

@The Underdweller,
You're welcome and I thank you, too, for the intense game.
My Exodus to the Empire failed to re-capture their headquarter. Thus the Lizardmen take all that belonged to the Exodus and Ogres. What a landslide victory!
I would write what happend to my guys when they lost this battle, but should get the businesses piling before me done first x-(
@All
As announced at Joshin, our monthly regular will get special next month. For convenience of playing an Apocalypse game as sending me off to Honolulu, it is at Tempaku Lifelong Learning Center on July 26 and 27. Because we will have plenty of tables, you can come and play any games you like while Kondo-san and I invite those interested to our Apoc game.
I will make a thread for the details and discussion for the event and Apoc game.

Re: June Joshin/Zengo
It looks like with me and Pikey not attending you guys managed a morning game. Thanks for sorting that out at the last minute. My wife and son are moving back in to give it one last shot.
See you at the apocalypse next month for better or worse.
Hopefully for better

@Ashmie - sorry we couldn't get our game in. We'll need to try next time.
@Prim and Dekana - thanks for both the games today. They made for some odd match-ups, but it was good for the ongoing narrative of the Waaagh. About time the Imperials made some headway against the Orks.

@ ToD: Thanks for the WWII day. I thought you played FoW well. You certainly diagnosed the match-ups well (infantry to knockout the AT guns and use the flanking force to take the objective).
And then Blitzkrieg Commander was fun, too. It was nice how the game moved fairly quickly. I'd like to give it another try sometime.
Of course, you beat me twice, today, so expect any revenge match to be no holds barred.
Anyway, thanks for also putting up with my fuzzy condition.

@Auxryn - Well, it was nice to finally win a game against your Orks. Just in time too as you'll be using the new codex next time. Of course, it was all down to those Wyverns parked in the back field, but Shrike and his friends did their job taking out your Warboss and his retinue and then silencing the big guns. Wyverns are amazing against boyz though.
@Kojibear - Well done mate, that game went down to the wire. I was kind of hoping my Dread would have done more against your bikes, but it was not to be. Hopefully Shrike can recover from his wounds and will be back to deal with your blue space elves sometime soon.

Shrike may have been victorious today, but know that the warboss he defeated was only the weakest of the shitennou!
