@Jye - Nice hammer-nado. These extreme weather events are getting more and more dangerous.

@ToD - Those Dusk Raiders look awesome.

@Jus - Nice work on the Templar. How much of that is GW and how much is from your 3D printer?

I have mainly been cleaning up old minis and working on the sprue pile recently. I really do need to get back to painting.

#edit - Page 1000!!!

Nice! These Templars are looking amazing. I really hope you end up sticking with them for just a little bit longer.

Also I really love the hammer-nado. That model alone makes me want to go out and start playing AoS!

These guys have been sitting in a box half-done since... well, since the last Kill Team came out, in the window between when I thought I'd try to expand my Advanced Space Crusade tyranids into a kill team and when I found out Tyranids weren't actually all that good at killing anything in KT2018.

Here's hoping they're better this edition!

Tyranids were great at winning games, it's just you could have swapped out the gants for sufficiently enthusiastic puppies with no weapons for the same effect.

Those Warriors look great, love the yellow and blue.

Also I must join the chorus for @jus great work (and insanely fast), can't wait to see a full army like that on the table, no pressure

Thanks guys! I think finding the motivation to paint is the hardest part.

@prim: PAGE 1000! it only took 10 years.

Page 1000! Maybe we should each post a model we're really proud of or something?

I dunno, I have a distinct memory of charging, like, an Eldar Guardian or something with a combat Warrior and then later a genestealer, that adamantium-clawed avatar of slashy death, and just... not killing him. For several turns.

As for me, I'm clear with my backlog, essentially - the only thing in the to-paint cupboard is a half-finished team of elves for Blitz Bowl, whose color scheme isn't turning out like I'd hoped so I'm unmotivated to go back to them, a few Catachans I picked up from somewhere but don't have enough heads for, and some 6mm ancients I just have no reason or motivation to get to. My MDF plagueburst crawler should arrive before too very long, and at some point I'll order the last thing I need for my Dusk Raiders (a tallyman) and/or the last thing I need for my Goblins (a loonboss on a giant cave squig), but beyond that I'm just not sure what I feel like painting.

Yeah the enemy wouldn't die in the optimal Tyranid KT18 game, they'd just look at the 19 unbreakable wounds standing on the objective and give up

I actually need a Bladeguard Ancient for Dark Angels, not Wolves, but I figured the over the top base needed to go with the rest of the showponies in my Wolf Bladeguard.

Also having roughly counted yesterday I think this is my 250th mini for the year? Thanks, ever present state of emergency, long zoom meetings and history podcasts!

WOOOOO 1000 PAGES!

I've been working on this guy, and struggling with trying to make an osl effect. We need to go brighter!

Here to celebrate 1000 pages! W00t!

@Grant - oooh, an actual bust. Dont see many of those round here. G'aun yersel, big man, as they say where I'm from. Fwiw, for OSL (which is a fiddly devil, in my experience) the thing you need to go for is not the light source itself but its effect on the surrounding mini. For example, your demon head chap would need some light yellow/orange on his upper forehead, cheekbones and bottom of the place where his eyes would normally be. Also the top ridges of his teeth, depending on how bright you intend the light to be. Anyway - it's all about where the light hits, not the light source itself. Just my two cents - feel free to disregard :)

@mij Yeah I think a lot of the yellow bits now are going to end up being mostly white, and the yellow is going to be surrounding those areas and bouncing a little off the bottom of some of the horns. I tried painting it on and it wasn't working for me, so I might go for mostly drybrush.
