Alas, poor Yorrick...

Just a quick advert for the artistically inclined amongst you. My mate Daniel (not danguinius. A different Daniel. Daniel "the engines canna tak it, cap'n" McCoy, to be precise) is to appear in a performance of Hamlet in Nagoya in May. It looks to be a pretty nicely done set up. I have no inclination towards the theatrical, myself, but Daniel is a very decent chap and a long time friend of mine, and he wouldn't be acting in something that was rubbish. So, if you fancy, read the following info and get yerself some Shakespeare action

Place: Aichi Arts Center Mini Theatre, B1 Aichi Arts Center
Time: Friday 11th May 7pm / Saturday 12th May 2pm AND 7pm / Sunday 13th May 2pm AND 6pm
Cost: 2500yen in advance, 3000yen on the door (1500/2000 for students)

FYI the arts center is beside/in front of/behind (cant tell from the map I have) the NHK building. 2 mins walk from Sakae station.

I would go if I could. I had an audition to be in this too and really wanted to be. It's not every day you get to be in Hamlet right. Sadly like Nagoyahammer I had to give it a miss because the baby is due. Mind you it's not everyday you have a baby either.
I saw their production last year and it was top notch stuff. I recommend it to anyone. These guys know what they are doing also don't die without seeing Hamlet at least one. It fu&%ing kicks ass. Easier than Merchant of Venice too

The production has Japanese subtitles running on a screen too so Japanese wives and girlfriends can enjoy it. Actually the Japanese might be easier than the Shaks right?
