Wysiwyg weapons
I'm in the process of building a piece of scenery using the fortification rules for 40k, and was wondering if it would be acceptable to all for me to swap out heavy bolters for heavy flamers. The reason I ask is purely aesthetic - its a nurgly building, and as such dribblepus cannons are more appropriate. Also, I have a cool idea for how to do the conversion. I appreciate this kinda thing should be cleared with my opponent pre-game, I just want to sound out folks opinions. Also, would this kind of thing be ok at Naghammer?

I'd have no problem with it, Heavy Flamers are usually priced the same as Heavy Bolters. If it becomes an issue, you can just say that they are Heavy Bolters that look like Heavy Flamers.

Re: Wysiwyg weapons
That's what I figured. On an emplacement a heavy flamer would be a bit interesting, as it would never be able to approach and threaten your units, but it would play merry hell with any unit trying to assault the emplacement. Assuming I can get opponents consent for each game, I take it I have the go ahead to use it at Naghammer?
