Re: All quiet on the Martian Front
I followed the kickstarter (but didn't pitch in) and quite liked what I saw. The tripods in particular are pretty sweet-looking.
Feel free to call me Dave!

Re: All quiet on the Martian Front
Hmm..I quite like the idea of a victorian sci-fi themed game (I didn't want to go too far and say the word 'steampunk', as that path leads to cosplay in embroidered waistcoats, brass monocles and top hats).
It reminds me of a story line in Alan Moore's League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and I would definitely play this if the opportunity arose. I guess for rpg there are themed games like Space 1889, but there are a couple of interesting skirmishy things out there too. Empire of the Dead is said to be great, and In Her Majesty's Name looks interesting too.

Don't forget Dystopian Legions as well. That's also victorian SF.
I have a copy of In Her Majesty's Name and the first expansion book and it looks ok. Some of the gangs are more fleshed out than others, but there are a lot to choose from and rules for making your own gang from scratch.
All Quiet on the Martian Front looks like a wargame compared to the skirmish format of the others, but I believe it uses a smaller scale, 15mm? Those tripods do look pretty big though. Aside from the nice looking minis, I haven't heard an awful lot about the game itself, so at some stage I should probably read over the blog link Ashmie posted. One more for the list of games I would like to play if time/money/space were no object perhaps?
Cheers for the link.

I love the idea and look of it. The rule book looks really thematic too. Only problem is time/money!
So many games, so little time....

I do like the look of what I have seen and reports on you tube seem good. It's just a case of finishing all the other projects. I've ground to a halt lately with painting.

Re: All quiet on the Martian Front
I saw a bunch of folks playing this at Claymore yesterday. Looks quite nice, altho mini choice is limited at the moment.
